Looks like an excellent price for a Turbo S even at the mileage and for a tippy

When I started this thread, I never would have thought that a 75k mile car at $60,000 belongs in here. But, my how the market has changed since 2015!

I feel this one doesn't quite make the prestige thread cut, so I'll revive this thread instead

https://bringatrailer.com/listing/20...911-turbo-196/

Interesting to see how it goes compared to 3 months ago.

This one isn't prestige. But may make a good project for someone.

Even with the very poorly worded and confusing ad, even if it needs something done, $35.5k might be an attractive price for an entry level high-mileage tippy

Nice find, Rick! Here is the text from the ad (it notes "Tip Tronic" in the ad headline) and a picture for posterity:

"2001 Turbo in great condition. Recently installed new transmission mounts and motor mounts.Brand new water pump ,belt, fuel filter, coolent and lower hose. Transmission has be serviced filter and conductor plate Just as a part of maintenance.95K. I have the original turbo wheels and tire that belong on this model. Two sets of keys. And records. Full leather interior. 35,500"

I'm not a big of the Sport Technos on a 996tt (I like the wheels on NA 996s, though), but the ad says he has the twists. Under 100k on the odometer. Man, this would be a great budget 996tt if it pans out. It's cheap enough that I'd be a bit leery, though.

$41,267 for a 6-speed, so a decent deal.

Pictures for posterity:

Yeah particularly since things like
Transmission has be serviced
What does that mean? Has been serviced? Or has to be serviced? The difference is a few thousand dollars potentially. I find it very off-putting when people can't be bothered to spend two or three minutes to make sure the ad makes sense in English.
