Yeah looking at it again, looks like a solid price in this market. Manual TurboS with a 5 handle is hard to find.

It's also listed in the FB group for sale. Probably won't last long. http://www.facebook.com/marketplace/...99143611452923

says Pending already. 108k miles at $55k, I wouldn't have thought it would fly off the shelves. Also I wonder what kind of "engine out refresh" a 3.6l mezger needs at 108k miles. Normally it's still pretty fresh at that point.

He's a friend of a friend. He was on a road trip with the car to California a few months back and blew a coolant line and had to trailer the car home. Engine came out to do the coolant pipes and some of the usual "while you're in there" stuff.

I picked this car up. Got it for slightly less than the asking amount. High mileage, but incredible amount of recent service history. PPI was outstanding, and the seller has been great to work with. Now, I'm just waiting for it to get to the East Coast!

That GT2 is interesting. It is a GT2 based on the VIN, but looks like many of the unique GT2 parts are now gone and replaced with standard turbo parts:
-front bumper
-rear seat delete
-PCCBs
-suspension (can't say for certain, but I doubt GT2 coilovers are capable of that ride height)
-wheels (can't say for certain, but given it had aftermarket wheels in the previous pictures, I doubt they sourced a set of legit GT2 wheels for it now)

I hope someone (without specific GT2 knowledge) doesn't buy it thinking they are getting a great deal on a GT2, not realizing many of the high dollar GT2 parts are actually gone.

Another interesting tidbit, is there are 2 other GT2s with the same last 5 of the VIN. That is either very coincidental, or they only build GT2s during certain VIN sequences.

That GT2 is super fishy, no way somebody swapped all the stuff that makes a GT2 special and put in standard turbo parts. I would make sure I saw every vin plate on that car before I bid on it.

It's not uncommon for a total loss to have some parts swapped before or once in the yard.

That is not the same GT2, they are 2 different cars. No one is ADDING the sunroof to a gt2. Little things like the switching out the carbon fiber vents for flat black ones...?

The car currently has a sunroof headliner in it, but it is unclear whether or not it actually has a sunroof. You can see a good bit of the roof on the rear 3/4 pictures, and I don't see a sunroof. It also does still have GT2 door panels (pocket, no speaker) and the yellow face gauges (with ~600 additional miles). I think it probably is the same car with a lot of parts swapped.
