This one has a recent reduced price which seems more inline with the market.

Almost 90K mikes of rag-tattered Graphite that one. Good Mezger entry point for someone!

What's up with the partial red side mirrors?

That steering wheel is very worn and the cracked carbon fiber is some of the worse I've seen.

I wonder how much track time is on the car?

... the track time should be something like 90k divided by average speed on track.

What, pray tell, was the asking price? It now just shows "sold" in the "price" block.

Well, doesn't look like there's anything reasonable in the 01-04 Turbo, Couple, Manual today, in Autotrader or Cargurus.
Lowest AutoTrader $48.9K w/ 82K miles & CurGurus $59K w/ 44K miles.

Add Auto, Convertibles & Salvage in the mix, and things become more reasonable.
* CarGurus > SALVAGE, Convertible, Auto w/ 114K miles for $29.9K sterlingimportsltd
* CarGurus > Private Sale, Convert., Auto w/ 102K miles for $36.5K CarGurus Private Seller
* AutoTrader > Private Sale, Coupe, Auto w/ 62K miles for $41.5K AutoTrader Private Seller

In a couple of years these prices will seem very reasonable. They are aren't making any more of these cars so this is it.

Wow, I listed mine (only in one spot, not really pushing it), but now I think I will raise the price and actually advertise it!

Prices across the board have been steadily creeping up. It’s wild to see Tips listed in the $40k range. Just 6-8 months ago those seemed to be in the low to mid $30k range.

With spring and summer on the horizon, lower mileage manual cabs seem to be seeing good prices as well.

it’s been fun to watch

And the existing supply continues to be reduced due to crashes and being totaled.

Additionally, although highly modified 996 Turbos can be returned to a state closer to OEM, I think many people don't want to go through that process. So I think the prices for reasonably modified Turbos, or Turbos with few (to no) modifications, that also have solid documentation, will go up quite a bit going forward.
