OK, I know it's not a 996 Turbo, but what's going on here? '86 930 slantnose, 45k miles, 10 minutes to go, $43,600? What am I missing? https://bringatrailer.com/listing/19...-911-turbo-24/

Right now it is looking like there are mileage teirs to selling prices and prospective collectability.

Sub 15,000 miles cars are bringing top dollars, around $70k. The 15,000 to 30,000 cars are going for around $60k with X50s and Ss bringing the highest. The cars with 30,000 to 50,000 miles are kinda all over the $45k to $55k+ range depending on color and options. Anything over 45,000 to 50,000 miles on BaT is right now not looking to be collectable. They are considered "drivers". Mostly because there are still too many low mileage unicorns around. In time that will change.

On BaT it looking like anything over 45k miles is a "driver" car. It is nuts but that is how it is right now. Too many super low mileage unicorns out there.

Only times I've seen Nephrite Green interiors in person, they were paired with Jade Green on one car and on another with Arctic Silver. IMO, it was pretty nauseating on both. But I'm sure someone out there loves it.

Having bought a car with a nauseating interior color, I can tell you the $5800 or so out of pocket was well spent to change the color completely. Especially after I sold off the original pieces for nearly $4K.

That car has been for sale before, not too long ago here in the bay area. Lovely interior shade, isn't it ?

Techweenie, you did ok, changing out the interior for less than $2K. That's almost a trivial amount!

How is this a steal with buyers premimium that has to be close to $38k? Pricing is flat right now and there is definitely some 996 fatigue settling into BAT

I think a lot of folks (myself included) tend to forget about the buyer's premium.

Stock, clean history, nice (if not rare) color combo, well maintained 996TT for < $40k, though? I can't remember the last time I saw one of those. I definitely couldn't find one when I was looking to buy, as I would have gladly taken the discount for the miles since I want to drive mine.

What data do you have to support prices being flat?

Wrong, as I found out last week, the buyer's premium MAXES out at $5k. It is 5% of sale up to $5,000. So, this one is out the door (before transport/registration) $36,750

That, my friend, is a steal in 2018! Those are 2014 prices...the last 3 years prices have been going up, I'd say that would normally still sell for $42k easy...
He tried selling here, but only gave it a couple

What do you all think of this 996TT x50 Tiptronic Cab with 8 prior owners? I've mostly been in the market for a 997, but this 996 seems appealing.

I don't think I saw this posted in here. 27K mikes, X50, and aero package. Has maintenance records and history for the car. $59.900

Very well optioned car. PCCBs, X50, 24k miles, leather covered everything, deviated stitching. If it were a 6 speed, I'd say $55k easy. Looks like it is well priced at $49,800. I wouldn't care much about it having 8 previous owners. It looks like it was well cared for.
