Several states have "lemon laws" that allow customers to return cars.

The only "unwinds" I have seen have been related to inability to finance. But I imagine there could be a buyback if there were a very serious undisclosed problem. Ironically, this past week, I've been advising a buyer of a 911SC who did get the dealer to agree to take back the car because of gross misrepresentation. But the dealer is using every delaying tactic known to man, and its beginning to look like the buyer is stuck.

But those laws only cover new cars, right?

I passed on the 2003 x50 for a few reasons. Aftermarket exhaust is loud and drones, some of the wood trim is missing, looks like a complete respray, tires are over sized and rub and the wheels are no name. Engine and trans seemed fine.

Anyone know this car?

Looks like to it sold in NY 6 months ago for $33K with some aftermarket parts, now it has stock parts with $20K markup.

Wow, if that car sold for $33k a few months ago, somebody got a steal. I'd say that's a $45k+ car easy.

The ebay ad shows quite a few aftermarket mods, roll bar wheels etc. I am guessing thats the reason the car fetched on the low side. However I do think this is a 40's car, with the right options.

If this is the same car I think this is then the whole front end was totally messed up on it. Fenders out of alignment sort of bad. Looking at those pics the paint shre seems darker on them and the frunk appears crooked as well.

I know it's a 997, but our cars are very similar so I thought I'd post it here. That seems like pretty good money for a branded title flood damage car that isn't running.

Well, it definitely doesn't belong in the Prestige Thread, but I don't have a problem with it in this thread as the original post reads:
"Find a great deal on a 996tt online? Or on a hardtop for a cabriolet? Or a great set of wheels and tires?
Or uncover a unicorn you know a fellow Rennlister might be interested in?
Or find a crazy funny ad for something 996tt related?
Then post it up here. Let's see what lurks out there in the recesses of the Internet."

This one definitely came from the "recesses of the Internet"! I wouldn't touch that thing with a 10 foot pole. But I got a chuckle out of reading the ebay ad and comparing that to the Carfax report.
