How does offering an opinion regarding the conduct of an investigation indicate that I am calling myself an expert? I do however have experience with aviation accident reconstruction from my time in the in the Air Force where the"why" was the target and finding the why included examining materials failure(s).
And the warranty is in fact relevant because it indicates what Porsche's intent was regarding the use of the car.

IMHO, Dock, you do come across as a self appointed expert. You stated your case and that was sufficient.....to continue the argument is...well let's say..pointless.

Like coolant fluid has never been dumped out of hoses or radiators before??
And since it's Porsche that's on the hook financially, it is paramount to determine the "why", as there is no reason for them to be on the hook for repairs/ money if the leaks are not the result of their design or manufacturing.
BTW, what is the coefficient of friction of coolant mixed with water? Is it more or less than water on a road?

Attached is a copy of the document we sent to Porsche requesting specific information related to this investigation. It is now available on our public website, www.safercar.gov, investigation number PE13009. I thought this might be interesting to you. The number of incidents quoted is a snapshot from about 2 weeks ago (there is a delay in the time the document goes through approval process and then is uploaded to the public website).
I appreciate your help with our investigation.

Lot of discussion, this is what it looks like.
This is my 2003 996TT at .8 bar on its first pass on the dyno. This happened in late March. I have a case open with the NHTSA. Not tracked, before mods, 82,000 mile daily driver in central Texas.
