After lowering the rear spring tension the car feels soft but still not damping how I'd like. So I raised the rear ride height. Damn the right locking ring was seized. Took me almost 30min a of banging and wd40 and heat gun to loosen. Then I was exhausted so I didn't have a chance to test drive.
Couple smaller things changed following a shopping trip to the US:
- installed carbon armrests (Rennline)
- bought OEM short shifter, replaced plastic bushings with Phenix Engineering metal ones and installed that
- swapped ashtray in center console for larger storage box (Etsy), getting rid of the blind switches
I think I posted these on the 996 forum as well but I knocked out the Spark plugs, revised coils, and revised intercooler seals since I had the intercoolers out.
I got a new windshield installed in my 01 Turbo. It makes a big difference! The old one was sand purr==Ted make it difficult to see when driving into the sun

Question: why do you use original Porsche Parts for Coils & Plugs? Must be at least three times more expensive than the OEM ones....
