If they let you keep them, I'll buy the used ones.

Actually told me to toss them, so yes I have them... you can use your TIG magic to fill in the rip I suppose.

The build quality is pretty damn good. However, they are made of fiberglass. The side skirts are not smooth on the bottom (I assumed they would be hollow but they are not finished on the undersides), so I am curious if they will create turbulent air at speed. I am sure if they do, I will not be able to notice on the street. However, lots of track guys run them so I don’t know.

Took Blackie on a proper highway run, in the rain with hard out-of-round Pirellis. Vibration starts at the speed limit. So frustrating being passed by salesmen in their rental and company cars.
A few times I got it up to speed. No CEL but pulled some SAI related error codes.

What, they are open underneath???? You absolutely 100% need to have those smooth on the underside otherwise they are gonna create turbulence with detrimental performance over stock. The side skirts can NOT be hollow/open on the bottom side!! If they are, I would 100% remove them.

As you know, just because some guys run them at the track is zero validation of their performance. Heck, I’ve seen a guy at the track with snow tires on his 911 in May.

I agree the quality is pretty good, they are sturdy and can take some abuse without cracking. They are good aesthetic piece if that is a style that someone likes, but they absolutely do create turbulent air under the car, as does the splitter, and the inlet ducts create turbulence in the intercooler ducts as well. Who knows how much of a detriment it has, but it hurts the aero more than helps. My brother in law was formerly in very high level motorsport and now is back in the US working in aerospace engineering and he immediately didnt like the design, particularly the underside with the edges extending downwards. We did some basic cfd using a model created with a simple 3D scanner and he saw enough between that and his experience to say take them off. I still run the splitter, but it's only because I haven't got another solution readily available- I went back to stock on the skirts.

Exactly this.

The skirts have that same lip and depressed section under the skirts, with a channel running lengthwise along it, just like the splitter does that we talked about on my car when you were out this way.

If your not tracking the car I don't think it makes a difference.

Added performance on track is the only reason I could see anyone using a product like this for. I wouldn’t think anyone would see this as a visually appealing addition to the car.
