That's how it comes? Now I really want one.
I'm happy that worked out for you.

Dropped my current motor last week and will begin working to get this guy mated in.
Lots of details but hope to get everything sorted before the snow flies and she has to be put away.
My second motor in 12 months (the other on the 997.2 C4S).....but we have to keep the boys in Zuffenhuasen busy .

Went to fill the the gas tank today….nope. Gas started overflowing back out almost immediately Did a quick google, E6 Fuse is good, changed it anyways. Still didn’t fix anything. Put a snake down the filler neck and it went atleast 24” down. No idea if that fixed it cause now I gotta drive to a gas station and hope it fills up, LOL. In the meantime, I guess the hinge on the fuel filler door was getting brittle and broke off So now I gotta replace that. (I did replace my radio with a PCCM+ unit recently, and I’ve tapped into the phone harness, so maybe something there caused the fuel valve to stay shut??)
Anyone know of a way to check if that valve is open without actually trying to put gas down the neck?

It's a total roll of the dice. I've seen the fittings pop on low mileage cars as well as high mileage ones. For track use cars it's not really a question of if but rather of when. The consequences for coolant sprayed on the rear tires in a high speed turn can be dire for not only your car but the guy following you. Eliminating that potential liability when the engine is out is cheap insurance but I'm risk averse... Even if not welding, pinning with engine out is super easy....

I'm not sure that is entirely fair; cars are parked neatly, all parts are either shelved or on pallets, all spare/second sets of tyres/wheels are palatalized... And, I have more than enough room to move freely and park more stuff.

I figure it will be a potential problem when (or if) I start going vertical...

See, not even half full, another 20+ cars could fit in here....
And God knows how many more tyres, lots of room for tyres....
