I went Miata -> Z3 -> S2000 in my pre-Porsche days.

All fun cars, but none have aged even closely as well as the 996 Turbo. A sorted 996 turbo will still, in driving experience, kick the *** of pretty much everything out there except maybe a newer turbo...

To the tinted lights output question...I have the lamin-x light tint over the lights. It did dim the light output slightly. I have just been running my fogs more to compensate. I really like how the tint tones down all the chrome in the lamp. I would love to have the lights disassembled and painted inside but I don't have the ***** to do it myself and dont want to pay big money to have it done. The tint cost 60$ and takes about 1.5 hrs to install. If you don't like it tear it back off.

I’ve got this exact set gathering dust after I installed the RUF RTurbo front bumper. If anyone is interested, send me a pm.

Looks good. Mine is a little darker than yours as seen in the picture above in pfbz's post. I might go a little lighter, where did you get yours?

Being lazy, well overwhelmed with the new house, went 7500 miles on the oil change. The oil looked bad, real dark almost had a reddish tint. Good news is it went 7500 mile and did not not need a qt. of oil. Low oil light came on the day before I changed it. I am a bad boy.

In the 996 Turbo, oil turns dark very quickly because it mixes with all the oil in the system that isn't drained by the normal oil change process. The 996 Turbo has a total oil capacity of approximately 13.5 quarts.

Going 7500 miles between oil changes on a street driven car is no big deal.

I washed it and drove. One of the most expensive cars i have owned to date that asks for nothing w/ the exception of more oil, so good I feel obligated to take care of it.

Went to a forge motorsports event in orlando to get some goodies for discount!
Forge dv and boost hose set
Took me an hour to get everything out because im too cheap to go buy angled pliers.
I spent 3 hours trying to get the forge fhose to seat into the ypipe and dvs and couls never get it in.
I looked at the oem fpipe and the forge fpipe
The forge fpipe is 50% bigger!
I vaguely remember the forge being about the same size as the oem.
Manufacturer defect? Or is there another car with a fat fhose?

Anyway i sent them a message hopefully they swap out my fhose... Because im not sure the oem one will last.

You're giving someone crap the other day about not spending another $50 to get OEM wheel bearings and you won't go buy angled pliers? SMH...
