996TWINS, I purchased it from BlendMount.com. Sent them pictures of the rearview mirror from different angles, and they were really great about making sure I got the right kit. Both over the phone and through email, they were responsive and helpful! Great kit, and great company.

I see vinyl sun visors fairly cheap on e-bay, was surprised how expensive new leather visors are= luckily mine are still good.

funny james.. yeah just priced em $150+. so looks like she'll look at herself without illumination and no flap for the visor. oh well, i'll find one from the porsche graveyard out here

i hated the warning sticker anyway.

I would think the Boxster is the same part at a lower price tag.

i think you may be right..actually scratch that. doesn't say cross compatibility 986/996(?). pelican has this http://www.pelicanparts.com/catalog/..._pg1.htm#item2

but it appears i have to replace the existing mirrors and that is probably beyond my scope. if anyone is able to glean from that diagram that the mirrors in red suggest one needs to use their old ones? appreciate any confirmation. but i can call pelican tomorrow

Nope.
The Boxster visor doesn't swivel to the side. Never did understand why...
