No one would ever guess, based on its condition, that your car has that much mileage on it. Unbelievable, you're an inspiration to us all.

Porsche won't buy it back. I tried to get some goodwill for a top replacement for my 2002 300K mile Boxster and Porsche said no.

The new factory top was over $3K -- even with a good discount from my dealer -- and I would have been happy to get it half price which would still be more than an aftermarket (GAHH) top but no dice.

Porsche could have cared less about the big miles on my car (and that I've owned 3 Porsches, 2 currently) and the fact I have had the Boxster serviced by dealers all these years and miles.

As it was the GAHH top and installation came to less than $1500 so really things worked out pretty good anyhow. The GAHH tops appears to be a quality piece of hardware so I'm hoping to get another 12+ years out of that top.

T2, how many clutches have you gone through in that amount of time? lol How much mileage are you guys getting out of a clutch? I'm looking at a car that had it's clutch replaced just under 20k miles ago. Is it good for another 10, 20, 40k miles? I know it really depends on how it's driven. But on average how many miles are people getting out of a stock clutch?
