Sorry for the very late reply on this I just noticed this in my RL inbox. Yes I run winters on the car for the winter weather - I think it's stock size up front and 275 in the rear - this is on stock hollow spoke rims - you can put a 265 on the rear on a 10" wide rim also - it is detailed in the owners manual. Go with a 275 if you have stock rim widths - the thinner the tires in the winter the better - stock width will work but will not be as good for traction - smaller contact patch with the narrower tire eqautes to more pressure on the patch as the car weight is the same - remember pounds oer (per) square inch is pressure so if the weight is fixed the smaller contact patch in winter gives you more pressure at the contact area. I run the Dunlop Winter Sport M3's and love them - most of the winter driving is dry/cold or wet/cold with the snow days thrown in there too so these tires have treated me very well - I typically get two seasons out of them.

    Good Luck!!

Hello, I've been lurking Rennlist for a while now, I'm looking at buying a 996TT and turning it into a daily driver like yours. I live in Minnesota so snow is part of the equation. I'm wondering what you're running for winter wheels & tires? Is it possible to run the same size tire on all four corners? I'm new to Porsche but I come from a background of German cars having owned one BMW and three Audi's. I've also driven Road America and would plan on making a visit again once I own a 996TT.
