Just about any engine will make power if you pump enough air in. Just stick weld on the heads and turn up the boost.

we don't care about HP number it is the time that shows how fast the car is.
give me some times from 60 to 190 mph or what ever you like and I can saw you how fast the supra is.
make by your self some runs from 60 to 100 mph or to what ever you like and tell us the time. This is what counts not the HP
no later than tomorow I will see if the supra with 200 more Hp in full race trim is afster than a almost stock GT3 with only 30 Hp more than the street car.
we are talking about 400 hp vs 600 Supra HP. the lap time will tell this

do understand me wrong. they are great cars but all the hype about 800 HP is not worth because these HPs can not be used for long. The cars, trany engine etc will brake. Maybe it last for some runs in the US roads but here it will brake. This was the case with EVEWRY high HP jap. car till now. Maybe in the future this will change but we will see that.

have a nice day.

Konstantin

are you an idiot????

the veilside skyline (1200hp last time i checked)

has reached 345 km/hr....it blew a head gasket or something....

it couldve got up over 400km/h

supras can make a ton a reliable power...

porsches with 600-700 hp would need just as many (most likely more) tune ups as a 600-700 hp supra

porsches have less weight=less strain on engine....

autobahning....who cares....i got no autobahns round here....

supras can be made to handle pretty well...

year before last? a supra came 3rd in targa tasmania (a very intense road rally in aus) behind 2 996 turbos, and produced roughly the same power....hmmmm only 2wd, heavier and ONLY A JAPANESE CAR????

the fact is japanese engines are probally the most reliable (honda, toyota) engines in the world....and are easily over built for stock specs (toyota and nissan)....

1uz-fe, 2jz-gte are probally the 2 strongest modern motors produced, capable of getting not far of 1000hp (not for long tho) stock out of just 4litres and 3L respectively...

anyway this is too much

Hmmmm... let's think about this for a second.

Blitz Toyota Supra with 750hp or so, laps the Nurburgring in 7:49.4

Stock 996 GT2 does it in 7:46.9

TechArt 996TT 620hp 7:43.4

Gemballa GTR600, 600hp 7:32.52--> Current world record for a road car!

Hmmmm... what does that say? It means that the Supra, although very tunable and fast, is still not quite a Porsche 911.

I don't care if you took the car to Blitz or Veilside; Ruf, Gemballa, 9FF, or Manthey will always come out with something better because they are using a better car to start off with.

It's like trying to build a hi-rise building from clay, as opposed to concrete and steel.

Sorry, not a big fan of ricers.

The primary things that the 911 platform has over the Supra is superior weight distribution, a lower center of gravity, and less drivetrain losses (in a 2wd configuration). This stuff doesn't help top speed, but it does wonders for vehicle dynamics (braking, cornering, exiting corners, etc.)

The only one who is being ignorant is the person who thinks a Supra is an equal for a 911

Agreed, a Supra is far better than a plain old 911. I have both, I know. My car at a thousand horsepower is still more reliable than a 911 with 650hp, plain and simple. I built my car to be a fun street car that will beat ANYTHING on the road. I have accomplished that, there is not a single car on this whole site that even comes close. Supras can also roadrace an example being that a Supra came in 3rd in the last One Lap of America race. You sir are truely a moron and have no idea what you are talking about. You don't have to thank me for insulting you, it was my pleasure.

Soon2Be,

How can you even say I'm ignorant? Just because I don't like jap cars?

Here's another reason why I don't like rice... try getting into an accident with one. They have got to be some of the most unsafe vehicles on the road.

Everyone has their preferences, why can't you just respect that. And by the way, this is a PORSCHE forum, so what do you expect? A bunch of Honda loving kids?

Hit your Hondas against my BMW 7 series, and that will be the end of you! Literally!

What are you supra fans doing on this forum anyway? it sounds like you guys like TOYOTA better than PORSCHE. Go post on a RICER forum. Yes, the supra make reliable power, WHO CARES! That gigantic PIG of a car does not perform better than a Porsche on a german track. That's what Porsche was built to do. It was built to perform on the track. I can get 2000 hp reliable dragster, but it's better than a Porsche? I highly doubt it. You RICER fans are pathetic.

Why is Zach even here? Did he get lost on his way to www.ilovemysuprasomuchihavesexwithit.com?

You have got to be kidding me with all of this 1000BHP, I can beat any Porsche crap. Obviously, he needs some serious pyschiatric help to overcome his inferiority complex.

Looks like we have another degenerate 944 owner that can't omprehend here. I said my Supra is for the street, which it will out perform pretty much everything. The Supra is a great track performer but not as good as a track prepped 911, hence my '70 911 TRACK CAR. 951? I don't even want to hear you say the word "reliable".
