There are cars that end up with salvage titles, that have no frame damage and that could easily be repaired; these are the exception, but this does occasionally happen in the case of a car whose market value is low, relative to the cost of repair. But that is not what we are dealing with here.

Hopefully, Carfax and Autocheck will show the actual history of this vehicle. Clicking on the link to this dealer, it is obvious that they are not disclosing anything, at least not in their online listing. Unlike some used car dealers, they do not include access to a free Carfax or Autocheck report.

Perhaps someone here is local to this dealer, and an comment further on them.
Sure, but no one is paying that much for an auto TL. A quick search reveals they deal in primarily only flood/water damage cars. Giving them the benefit of the doubt, I presume they would advertise and sell the car as salvage. And flood/collision/theft, total is a total. I have no issues with certain salvaged cars, but IMO run from a flood loss.

I wouldn't take the car for free.

I would. Then I'd sell it for $25 over any paperwork costs, buy an 18-pack of Guinness, and have money left over.

I''l normally make one search on the Internet in an attempt to figure out an abbreviation, but only one. This one came up as nothing that I could reasonably attribute to automobiles.

The top definition on Urban Dictionary is "timeline"...

I don't work, and haven't ever worked, in the insurance industry.

Scary to see what you could end up with if you don't look closely. Had they priced this at $39k, someone may have snapped it up a little more impulsively....

This place has been in business for a long time and i haven't heard anything negative about them so i don't think they are trying to scam anyone or anything like that but i do feel bad for someone who pays that much for this car after what it's been through

They should post this "BEFORE" picture in the listing:
