I don't remember seeing Petri Dish as a color choice on the order form.

The only way I'd set foot in that car, is wearing a full respirator with an air tank connected. On exiting, a Betadine scrub shower should be considered obligatory.

The disclaimer in the linked pdf sales brochure says: "we specialize in buying and selling vehicles paid off in insurance claims due to water related incidents or recovered theft with little to no damage."

:-)

There really should be a legal requirement for them to be more forthcoming in the actual ad rather than having to search through a sales brochure. This kind of stuff pisses me off. No telling where mold is growing out of sight. Lots of info on the impact of mold on human health.

The disclaimer says that the vehicles suffered "little or no damage," and further implies that their vehicles for sale are the opposite of what you would expect from a previously stolen or water-damaged car. Then they say that the cars have no warranty and are sold "as-is."

If they had really cleaned up the car to the fullest extent possible and were selling it at a huge discount, then I guess that some people might consider it. But they are asking prices that are not dissimilar from what you might find a similar, never damaged vehicle and that is really absurd.

I've looked (online) at their cars for several years, often they do have incredible prices on cars (p-cars, vettes, bmw's, etc). Have to wonder how bad the condition was when they picked them up and to what extent they made repairs. I know someone that bought 2 volvo's from them and had no issues.

You can't have floodwaters leaving crap everywhere and noticeable damage to the seats and interior most of the way up inside the vehicle (as on this car that we saw pictures of shortly after floodwaters had receded), without having "other than aesthetic damage" also.

My comment was in reference to the 'what extent they repair them' not the how much damage the cars have... clearly the damage is far beyond aesthetic, which I why I suspect they sell them cheap and likely only repair the pieces you see...
I should have clarified in my post.

I would pay to see the questions and comments if this car was on BAT. First question probably would be if there is any evidence of mold on the IMS.
