Default Dataloggers for GT3

So anyone got one of those simple ones that you can move from car to car?

I feel a bit stupid to ask, I know my way around MoTec and would love to have data acquisition somewhat similar, but when it comes to smaller ones I have no clue.

Main interesting features would be (probably not all are possible):
In Car Display
Lap Time and sector logging.
Descent data output
Memory Card or equivalent.
GPS or with G-sensors with equivalent functionality
Battery pack
Sensor and data acquisition from car.

I've found following:
- AiM - Don't know if it's portable
- G-Tech
- Driftbox/PerformanceBox
- AX22
- DL1
- G2X
- DL90
- Pi
- MaxQData
- DigiDash

Please give input on any of the one mentioned. Both good and bad. If you find any other to be competitive - please mention.

None of the above. In my opinion the best option is TraqMate and I think the other 13 RennListers that picked up systems along with me last month would agree.

I am satisfied with the DL-1. I don't have a screen though. I don't want the distraction when driving. In the future I would consider getting the screen.

I'm waiting on my AIM Sports MXL to arrive. I will be using it exclusively (minus fuel gauge) as my dashboard.

I have the G2x and I really like the way it works. Nice display. Since it is fairly new to me I am still learning to use the software.

I've the Traqmate and I'm extremely happy with it.

Attached is a comparison between my co-driver for autocrosses in his 1983 911 SC and my 1987 924S.

The Traqmate has all the features mentioned at the beginning of this poll, plus the integration with the TrackVision software to overlap data and videos.

If there wasn't one I can put one together with Traqmate directly if any of you guys are interested. They are located just down the street from me and I see the owners at the track all the time. Plus they are now using these to compare data on World Challenge cars.

Thanks Seth. I guess the next questions would be (1) how many would be interested to make it worthwhile; and (2) what would it cost in a group buy?

Without talking to them we would probably need about 10 to make it worthwhile. I might be able to get it down to less than that. Let's see how many are interested. In then meantime I will get in touch with Traqmate and get the numbers for you guys.

FWIW nearly every product on the list integrates with TrackVision for the video/dash overlay.

Not a definite for the groupby but potentially interested based on the what the price will be. Currently evaluating another product.

I have been thinking about the Aim MXL Pista with GPS, it hooks up direclty to the stock GT3 computer Canbus, RPM warning lights with the display or what ever warnings you would like, plus recieving all the data, gear, RPM, Speed1, Speed2, Oil Press, Fuel Press, ATM Press, Fuel Temp, Oil Temp, Engine Temp, Air Temp, Throttle Angle, Ign Angle,, Air Charge, Inject Time1, Inject Time2, Lambda1, Lambda2, Lam Contr 1, Lam Contr 2, Fuel Used, Gear, Battery Voltage
plus the GPS does 3D track mapping, plus yaw, which can be used with Google Earth.

Count me as interested in the Traqmate. The many good recent reviews has piqued my interest.
