As for the SU, I mounted it in the rear center console. However, that required a little creative work on the console to make room for it. The SU will fit but having to plug the DIN on one side and the GPS and POWER on the other created a situation where it wouldn't fit. A dremel tool and a couple hours later I have a rear center console that has had some "comsetic" blows taken to it but NOTHING anybody can see. Now it fits, is secure, and really works well in that spot. I did it this way b/c I really wanted to have this install done in a way where NOTHING was seen except the DU. No SU, no wires of any kind anywhere.

Gotta love it! I can't wait to start exploring the possibilities with the Traqmate. I'm just afraid I'll end up spending countless days breaking down data and video like an NFL coach and not see my wife for months at a time.

is there any better? yes! my aim mxl pista has 8 analog input channels plus CAN bus for your digital channels. aim has DaVid video integration but one can use their own video feed and use trackvision. it's all housed in an electronic dash. there's a GPS module too. haven't bought the module yet but it can overlay your laps over google earth
EDIT: you can also view the track in 3D
