Thanks John! Obviously you would have them. My interior is out and I am debating putting it back in or leaving it out. I like that it's lighter (well not really since the addition of the front section of cage (thanks again John) but hate that all the wiring and stuff is all exposed. I'm afraid of snagging it or it getting wet with rain (windows open) or something.
For you stripper guys, did you just use some sort of loom to cover it all and tuck it away?
How much do those carpets cost?

I have a Fabspeed maxflo mufflers, lighter wheels and removed the rear speakers, sun visors (for cage fitment) and tool kit in trunk. Also have the CD compartment thingy delete, and removed the floor mats...not much done really.
I am not going to make this into a full race car as I have a race car (a Honda) but wanted to make it a bit safer (full cage) and quicker without going nuts. I don't want to spend thousand of $ to remove weight.
And FYI I'm 5'10" and 169lbs so not a very big guy.

Hey Chris - nice wheels - are they lw BBS?
Ps - I don't mean to sound sacrilegious but those lw carpets look about as unporsche as you can get. Why not just run cup car naked or is there some DD upside to the lw carpet (looks closer to cloth)?

I take it u have a lw battery and removed carpet inside trunk? Are removing the airbags out of the question? Do u have a qr wheel? Do u actually listen to the radio? U can remove the speakers up front and put covers back on but it's only 3 lbs if u do that. For the track do u remove passenger seat? Mike
The carpets don't look great, I agree but at least it keeps the floors clean and scratch free and the wires covered.
I'll remove the trunk carpets, the side airbags and maybe the passenger on and maybe get a SW and call it a day for now. It's too expensive to try to run against the fast 997GT (and RS) guys with this car without spending a ton of money. Not worth it for me, it's not racing...yet.

"Regular" LW batteries are cheap. The LI batteries are a ton but you can buy an Odyssey or the like for ~$100 and save ~20lbs
still have to ask yourself if they are worth it because they will most likely require a battery tender to be up all the time if you're not using the car on a regular basis.
