Ben's plenum
#211
The holder won't fit with the bigger TB since the bolts aren't is the same location anymore. But it shouldn't be too much of a problem. The plenum is strong enough.
There is 90% chance stalling issue is caused by the tune. Give them a call or an e-mail
Thanks for the picture

They said it could be because of the GT3 TB:
"The idle is around 700 yet I forgot to mention also a TB that is to big for the car can cause it to stall and more so in cooler weather as the car cant adjust the airflow properly. The TB controls the idle as it is only open 2-3 degrees and a too large TB causes it to close down farther as it tries to regulate the air. You can disconnect the battery and reconnect it to force a re learn yet a TB sets itself when you turn on the key and wait 30 seconds."
The day I took it out, was probably around 20 degrees F outside

Was it doing it before you flashed the tune?
They should have accounted for the bigger TB when they sold you the tune. Did you specified you had a bigger TB?
There should be no problem regulating idle with a 83mm on a 3.6L engine.
Check also that everything is tight and hooked up.

Hey guys, I cleared all the codes. I was also using an oiled filter from EVOMS so I know switched to a dry filter. Cleaned the MAF and tightened all the screws and clamps. One of the rubber clamps was a little loose so maybe some air was leaking or being sucked in. Needless to say its running very nice for the past week. Will keep you posted. Thanks Ben!!

Hi guys !
Big news today !
You might not know him yet, but I'm proud to announce that Uniwerks has decided to become the official distributor of my Short Shifters in the US!
Ordering is now easier and faster, and there will be less chance for the packages from France to get stuck at the customs or lost.
Don't worry though, the price is still unbeatable!
So, from now on, if you want one, it's that way -----> Uniwerks Design
Christopher who created Uniwerks is a Porsche owner too by the way
I remain available for any questions !
On my side, I'm still working on the tooling for the new shifter. The first production version will be ready soon!
For the plenum, it's been raining almost every weekend here for the past month... and I need to paint the prototype that will be used to create the mold... It's taking longer than planned... but we'll get there!
Once done, Uniwerks will most likely distribute the plenums too!
Thanks guys!
Ben.

Thanks Ben! I am happy to be working with Ben, his shift kits are simply great! I have a 1998 Boxster and will be developing (and distributing) parts for it and select other vehicles.
Cheers!

I finally got around to installing my Ben's Plenum and GT3 Throttle body.
It wasn't too bad of an install.
I have a Fabspeed intake, so I wasn't sure how it would all fit back together, but it all went well.
I took it for a quick 20 minute drive and it felt OK.
It was raining, so I couldn't really get on it, but the butt dyno said it was a little peppier.

Hi !
Not much... I should be dyno testing the Boxster soon to have solid gain numbers.
And I have a quote to have the carbon fiber 996 plenums done.
But I’ve just made 200 of these :
https://uniwerksdesign.com/product/b...lever-upgrade/
So I’m waiting on getting a little money back to start the 996 plenums !
I’m also working on my 928, with a 3D printed plenum of course

thanks for the update. still hoping to get my hands on a 996 unit when they become available (or if you decide to make a few of the earlier plastic versions). just got myself a hobbyist version of fusion 360 and going to start working up a few bits and pieces of my own; might have to invest in a printer ...
