Looking at the ends (as well as an earlier post) it appears he ordered a longer one and then cut it to size.

Hawkfan,

I ordered a plenum from Ben after seeing this thread (as well as an elbow and the gt3 TB). He mentioned that I may have to block off or cap a line/hole? Was this 100% plug and play or did some small modifications need to be made? My car is a stock 04 C4S 3.6l if that matters.

Thanks

EDIT:
I guess looking online it appears that where the elbow is just an elbow with no lines going to it. I believe my car has 2 (one to the airbox which I see you have capped off as well as one that goes to a vac line)?

I am not home right now so I cannot verify but just want to make sure I have all the equipment once my stuff arrives..

I had to trim it a bit to fit.

Got ya. So does the vac line that was previously connected to the factory airbox piping now go directly to the plenum? Was any adapater required or does it just fit right on bens plenum?

Also where did you get the cap used to cover the airbox hole? Ive searched and apparently there was some company sending out sample plastic parts that worked.. But thats done and I would rather not use a shaving cap haha

Thanks

Not sure what you mean about the piping from the air box.

if you google Oatey 33401 you can find various places to buy the plug.

I circled the two hoses going to the plenum.. Are these both in the same location on the factory plenum? I may have been confused and looking at online pics of a different engine but one engine I saw had an additional line to the factory airbox-tb piping..

I thought the factory plenum only had one line going to it (from pictures I have seen)..

I may just be imagining things though..

Thanks

Ok now I know what you mean. So the stock Plenum has one hole. Those 2 hoses are joined by a y connector that plugs in the stock Plenum. With Bens, you disconnect the two hoses from the y connector, and they both fit on to Bens Plenum on their individual hole. The smaller one fits directly on, the larger one you need to use the piece of hose that Ben sends with the plenum to connect the two. I can take close up pics tonight. If you are doing this, PM me and I can give you my number if you need help with the install.

First drive: noticeably better/smoother acceleration and a much richer sound.

I will drive it tomorrow and push the higher end of the rpms to see how it reacts.

Good to know that you were able to fit everything correctly

Let the DME adapt to the new setup and it should free up a few more horses!

It's nice to see that you help each other, being in a different time zone I have a hard time keeping up sometimes!

Thanks guys!

Ben.
