They've paid for it, but in this case, the next guy has to. They never listen to me, since they all think we have something to sell.

Over the weekend a guy that bought some products from LN had one small complication during retrofit. Instead of working through it, with tech support he says "I'll just replace the bearing with something I found for 12.00 at a local bearing house, since I am running out of time". Haste makes waste and at some point this guy, or the next owner of the car, will pay for it. It happens every single time.

"It happens every single time."[?] Exactly how many experimental retrofits have you documented, and are you claiming that you have documented each and every one ever performed?

Your fairy tail stories are better than Peter Pan - you know, the one with Tinkerbell.

You sound a little defensive. Was this you that bought the $12 bearing?!?!

Nope, not me...

I'd never spend that much($12) on the bearing when I could source the exact same thing directly from China for about half the price.

To Christian and extankerbell - Don't confuse lack of posting here by the OP for lack of progress. It's not my place to discuss anything regarding this situation. But I will simply say you both could not be more wrong. OP doesn't want to drag this out in public. Please respect that.
Cool...I wonder if the consummate DIYer (KK) will also be handling this matter pro se.

I sincerely wish the OP luck on this one.
