Dreibond 1209 is all I use. Under no circumstance will I use the Lactate 5900 product. We all hate that stuff with a passion.

K, its in my notes from the online course that that is all you use, but I wasn't sure if we were just talking about the short block then. Thanks.

Also, the cam plugs, any additional sealant required? The gasket that goes behind the crankshaft pulley, is there a special tool to install that like the RMS?

I use a VERY light smear of Dreibond on the cam plugs. I then let them sit for 5 minutes before install, so they'll get tacky.

You need my Faultless Front Seal install tool. It uses the crank pulley bolt to pull the seal into the case. It sets depth too.

LN is manufacturing a few hundred of these as we speak, since I decided to let them sell them. I'll have to check and see where they stand with that.

If it's going to be too long you can borrow mine. I don't personally have an M96 on my build schedule till the middle of June, so you could keep it a few days if necessary. Mine is the prototype from years ago, so it lacks the cool features, but I'll tell you how to use it.

The factory never offered a tool for this, and I don't know of anyone else offering one either..

Btw, it's a good idea to also replace #7 and #22 (4 of them on the ends of the two corrugated hoses) as well.

Saving $75 on an off brand AOS doesn't seem like much of a bargain.

I was thinking the opposite. If the OE is struggling with Porsche "quality control" how bad will the cheap version be. Truthfully, I think all of the options suck.

Screw it... I'm selling my C2 and my house and buying a GT3!

Well a failed one cost me a new 4.0, so suck it up and get a motorsports one as long as the engine is out.
