Hey fellow Canuck (ex-Ottawa too, know most of the shops you reference); just read your whole 4.0 rebuild thread, and was enlightening. I recently bought a 4.0 conversion 2003 C2 that turned out to have major engine problems (pitting and scoring on two cylinders, pooling oil when left cold for a day, all the fun stuff). Curious what you wound up doing in the end, and would have some questions about the parts - your build looks like the receipts for mine in terms of liners, pistons, etc.
At this point I'm debating between cutting losses vs just driving it til it blows up. It seems like this build is problematic in general. After a few years, curious your thoughts on the project.

Hi, I saw a post of yours regarding the time you dropped your oil pan and found some bits of plastic in your pickup screen. I'm curious as to what you may have done after seeing that? Did you replace anything, or has it caused any additional issues for you? I see alot of people that find stuff like that but they don't say if they did anything about it, or whether it could lead to a bigger issue down the road.
