Why do you always put your cars up for sale 6 months after I buy one?

Seriously, 2 months from now people will be all over here clamoring for a deal like that. I have an '06 SL500R that my oldest son bought at the auction last summer. I am not even going to bother listing it for sale until March 1st.

Yeah, I can tough it out a bit longer. I hate having the car just sit and only driven a few miles a week to keep things warmed up. It still gets prime garage space though. Albert the Alligator, the Cayman, is just dying to get that prime indoor real estate.

I assumed that the ad was mistaken. Based on the VIN, it's midnight blue. http://www.vindecoderz.com/EN/check-...AA29943S621975

Clean, overpriced Aerokit. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsc...-pristine.html

I tired to buy this car a year ago. 5 owners if I remember correctly. He described himself as a "motivated" buyer and wanted $27k for the car. I offered $18k and he didn't want to talk anymore after that. It looks like he has since updated the IMS. Nice guy, doesn't ever drive the car anymore due to health issues. Not many options on the car besides XAA.

Anyone wanting a Cab the Fort Meyers car looks like a very nice find. Thank you for the post.

The Red car seems high based on what I am hearing. Its the second one in SoCal I have seen asking 28k. With the clutch and IMS done and a clean PPI the red car is $_____ car?

I am looking for a cpe, aero preferred but I am not opposed to aftermarket kits so non aero okay, I'll add kit. I'd consider a roller.

Looking to build a DE and weekend only car. Dont want a salvage title though.

Thank you for the posts.

Rick, talk to Gator. He is selling his red/black coupe (taco with some TechArt bits so not a true aero). Miles are what some think of as high, but its already set up for DE/AX and he is asking a low price for what you are getting.

Rick, second what gnat said. You basically described his car. Just go buy it, be happy.

I too checked this car out a bit back then. I was hot for it but the price kept me away. Since I got the sister car to this, with the enhanced 4 spoke wheel for much less, I'm thinking he's going to own it for a while. I don't have the IMS repl yet, but that won't add $11,000 to the value.

Yeah that's another car with minimal options (leather seats + supple centers), 3 spoke wheel, white/silver gauges, wheels, and maybe tail pipes. Like the car you described earlier I think it's a $18k-ish car right now. I do wish both sellers the best though as it would benefit all the current owners

Not sure about showing a pic of the car in the service bay. Just doesn't inspire confidence to me

To be honest I'd gladly pay $22-24k for that car. It had a known service history and was in great condition. Too bad the seller wouldn't play ball. I was forced to find another toy.

And that is always the important part. You didn't pay too much if you feel like you made an even trade.

My numbers are just based on what stuff seems to be getting listed at over the last year with a reasonable chance of selling for the listed price.

Agreed. I think it has a gold-plated IMS too.
