We can all dream that's a reasonable price, right?

Well if it helps, I bought mine a year ago for $20k. 64000 miles, XAA code, LSD, white gauges, full leather, 6-speed, aluminum shifter/e-brake/door guards, no maintenance history and original IMS. To be fair, I've put a good amount of money in her on maintenance items (preventative and required).

At 70k it's a safe bet the clutch isn't too far in the future which is 1500-2500 depending on your local shop and that's a good time to do the bearing too.

If the Aero is the best option it has, $15k may be more correct. No Xenons? No leather? Power seats? Nothing?

I would say $19k to $20k on that Mk I aero with only 70k miles, assuming it's in good condition. $28k is way too high.

My 2¢... Bidders generally do not like reserve auctions. Plus everything goes dead right around the holidays. If you're going to relist in an auction format, maybe do no-reserve with your rock bottom price as the opening bid. Or ask $19,900 "buy it now" and field "best offers".

And make sure to mention that his avatar model will be serving coffee at the final transaction

Agreed. I offered him 21k top dollar subject too a solid PPI. He laughed. I'll keep looking.

Thanks again for the feedback.

This might have sold by now, but seemed like a pretty good deal:

Doesn't that look too dark to be cobalt blue?
