I need help with this: "Vehicle was declared total loss , car is still clean title , total loss means the owner was paid off by the insurance but the damage repair cost was not enough to make it salvage." Huh? The owner/insurance was paid out but what they (insurance company) paid in repair did not match that number?

"A total loss is not a title brand. It simply refers to a vehicle that is damaged beyond repair and deemed unsafe to drive. Aside from being recycled, a total loss vehicle is completely unusable. Typically, a total loss vehicle is either sold for parts or used as scrap metal."
I don't see how hail damage could cause an insurance company to deem a car unsafe to drive.
And yeah it seems like he wrote the ad in 30 seconds or English is his 3rd or 4th language.

I'm not expert either, but from everything I've read "total loss" is worse than a salvage title and everything in that sellers ad is BS. But total loss is not a title brand so it is possible it does have a clean title. Not sure if you can get insurance is the issue.

I saw this one and went for a drive. Very clean in and out, surprising and impressive for this age and miles.
seems like the engine blew up (IMS?) at around 135k miles. Seller/research says motor and trans were both replaced with used units. LN fix on IMS. Drives and shifts very smooth.
thoughts?
