The condition of the suspension will make all the difference in the world. If it's old, the car will feel old. If it's new, or fairly so, the car will feel old school, but will also feel light and alive. You have to drive a few to really see what I'm talking about. They are great fun!

to be honest, I bought the 996 after driving it, it was the first time I ever drove a Porsche. I bought the 911 without driving it... but I went for a sort ride with my mechanic who drove it.
kind of strange I know...but without several data points I would not have any idea if what I was feeling was "normal" or not... if the car is good, and mine is, all I have to do is acclimate to it (and start the mod list
)

dont mount them before you put in the can... are you?.. geez first we cant get you to put parts on, now you have no restraint and just put them on asap even if the "rest of the parts" haven't showed up

IIRC he has a dog already ini the car 
the funny thing is I actually contumplated taking my dog with me in the 911... that would have never even crossed my mind in the 99' (notice I didnt NOT call it a 911)
