Ed, good for you if that is what you really wanted to do. If not, I'm sorry to hear that! There, I covered both bases!

BTW, the yellow GT2 wing will really pop on a red car!

as promised - sorry I took the pics as I pulled her into the garage for the first time... I put about 200 miles on it today - My son was checking out the wax job (which he said "sucked") I know what he can do

anyhow - it is what it is
86' C2 coupe with olive grey inside - took me 20 minutes to figure out how to turn the radio off (down) its something fancy... everything else is stock. Great service history, clean record, not a 996 and sure as hell not MY 996 (which btw was an awesome car)

first time I drove it was after I bought it - wasnt worried, knew it would be differant.

SO - the deal is the old owner of my car was driving this we agreed on a trade... he (his wife) wanted the old car back... then after he saw it he wanted it back, and i wanted this car which he bought in january but his wife didnt like - the PO was a client at my indy and I have sevice record back to 1990 - super clean (for a 24 y/o car) instant love affair - and its not a Honda

sorry Tim

Thanks Ferd.... yea... I will be, we'll see how fun these air cooled guys are (after all that talk )

I loved my 996 and we have an agreement that if he sells it I get first shot. I really missed it and watching it drive off was really painful - I have about 800 pics of it. so I should be OK plus I know the guy and we plan to keep in touch (though you know how that sometimes doesnt always work out as planned)

anyhow - awe.... yea...... major not the same car......MAJOR!

Shifty now aren't you. This must be a plan to have the wife say she wants a 996 or 997 so it will be a better ride, Then you wont be able to sell the red 86 C2 dues to listing it at $70,000.

Are you going to be able to install a progressive suspension or anything else for performance?
Any track time coming up to get the feel of the car skipping months of ho hum city driving to get the feel?
What wardrobe changes are in the future? Now you need at least a red jacket or shoes
Are there any already done mods to the engine?
What what what?????

when you put some miles and seat time on her.... let us know what you think about the old and new. I always wanted an air cooler ever since I drove a 965. Again congrats! Dont be bashful posting pics of the 3.2? Its only us....
