Oops - I forgot Charles! I have Charles down as a "yes" also.

This oversite should attract a stinging remark from someone...

Well, ****. The New Year's Day drive was Michael's idea, and I forgot to add him too.

So, I have Dell, Rich, George, Scott, Charles, Michael, and me. 7 participants and counting.

I found a restaurant that is open: Red Robin in Apex (Beaver Creek Crossing) - not perfect, but I've tried 5 locations, and they're all closed. RR is open regular hours (11:00am - 10:00pm).

So, I propose that we end at Red Robin. We can also start from there too. The parking lot is huge, and we should have a problem getting in and out that day.

More to come on the route. I'll check out some options this afternoon.

That's so funny! My wife and I were just talking about RR last night thinking the last time we were there was when the little one was 1 month old just over a year ago! They have the best burgers. And let's not forget the bottomless fries

I meant to say we shouldn't have any problems with RR or parking.

I also want to add beer to the list of RR attributes - and a huge menu with lots of choices, for those who are not looking for an awesome burger/fries.

The route I'm playing with has Maple View Farms in Hillsborough as its turnaround point. It's beautiful out there. But, it's about 70 miles round trip. I'll ask Rich if he knows a slightly shorter route.

Shorter than 70 miles is a must.

I'm going to scope out the route in the Porsche in a few minutes - tough job, but somebody has to do it!

I can't believe I have to leave work early for this...oh well. I'm a martyr!

Bob, so you don't suffer alone, I could join you if you need some moral support for this tough task.

Try my cell phone if you have the number with you.

Michael and I drove a potential route to Maple View Farms - beautiful location, but not much fun on the drive there. It was like driving through town, until the last couple miles before the farm.

So, Michael and I agreed that we should take our usual drive - the bicyclists will be leaving an hour before we even get together, and their path takes them across 64 - we shouldn't be anywhere near the pack during our drive.

It was great to take a mid-week run. Thanks, Michael, for joining the fun.

Bob
