It was great to take a mid-week run. Thanks, Michael, for joining the fun.

I think we should meet at Red Robin in Apex (Beaver Creek Crossing). It's right off of 64 - next door to the Regal Cinema and Kohl's.

We agreed to 11:00am as the meeting time.

See you then!

FYI: some others are also planning travel south of 64 that morning. For example:
Bring in the New Year with a 35 mile B/C pace road ride around Jordan Lake. We'll be riding along roads in Chatham and Wake Counties looping back by the New Hope Valley Railroad in Bonsal...

Start: Boat ramp south of Bell's Baptist Church, east side of Farrington Rd
Start Date-Time: 01/01/2009 - 11:00 AM

Bob, thanks for working on this event.
Perhaps I missed it, but is an approximate mileage and/or duration for the drive available? (my wife is probably going to ask when I invite her)
Also, what do you think about reserving a table for the group at RR?

Bob, Great choice.

Looking forward to my new year burger.

My favorite, the Royal. Who ever thought putting a fried egg in a burger can make all the difference?

all,

I was hoping that I would be able to make it, but I am awaiting some parts, and the odds of them arriving tonight AND having time to install them are almost zero.

I had to pull a cam cover, and the previous owner believed in triple digit torque on everything, so one of the bolts was rounded off during extraction and most of the rubber gaskets around the bolts ( there are 13 total) also required replacement. Not suprisingly, the bolts themselve are custom Porsche items, not available at your local retailer...

Have a great first drive of 2009!

Thanks, Bruce. We'll be mindful/courteous of bicyclists (as always). As for RR, they don't accept reservations - I wish they did; it may mean we end up waiting for a little while. I expect to be back at RR by 12:30pm - not sure of the mileage, but I believe we're taking the usual route. I'd love to take a picture at the Lake, if everyone's up for it and the weather is good. If not, a photo in the Red Robin parking lot is fine.

Ken - I hope you might still join us for a burger after the drive.

Scott - Next Saturday, I hope we start the morning at the Wake Zone, 7:30 am. I'd like roll out to Brier Creek by 9:00 am. We usually leave a little later, and that's OK.

Awesome drive this morning guys, despite the massive hangover. I really intend on being a little more active with the bunch this year. Speaking of that Feb 7th and 8th at VIR, www.tzcthscc.motorsportreg.com . This is dirt cheap and you can get a further $25 off if you use nceuro as your coupon code.
