I definitely think I can get into the 1:2Xs without too much issue. Just need to connect some sections, dial in the rear bowl too...

Goal for 2024 is 2 SoW sessions, 1 Buttonwillow and hopefully hopefully finally get my first Laguna Seca laps under my belt. I've always felt 4 track days per year should be the minimum. I've run Buttonwillow once back in ~2017 and I think I was in the 2:10s... but that was a totally different car. (24v Swapped E30)

Got some pics from the Streets of Willow track day... here are my Top 5 in no particular order.
Enjoy!

In other news, I should be receiving the last of a few interior bits and will have a nice update after the holiday

Installed the first of my Black Friday purchases... there’s a few here.

(Before)

(After)

I have a few more things to install, but inside needs a steering wheel that I know what I want... and maybe a new center console in addition to a sexier horseshoe. Too much brittle plastic, the last few times I’ve had to deal with the interior pieces something has chipped and broken.

I got you on the sexier horseshoe... but tell me what you're thinking for the center console. I'm trying to figure that out too.

I see you have a 3-piece horseshoe. I have a 3-piece alcantara horseshoe that would tie in nicely with your seats that you might be interested in.

Long overdue detail happening by my friend Don of @domsgarage_ (Instagram) . It’s getting a full detail with a Ceramic coating to top it off. I finished removing the Porsche side stripes and plan to install a set of Carrera stripes from RennDecals. The look should be great for 2024, I can’t wait.

I tried to make a weird collage of his stories on his progress

Nothing like the car in its natural skin

After getting the car detailed, I had a very close eye on the forecast for my 1/1 annual drive. I got a few minutes in the garage and decided I wanted to install one of the stickers to make the rear less naked. (also a hint into what is coming)

Convinced a few buddies to join and we (mostly) had a great drive all over Malibu. Met at the base of Topanga Canyon, stupid Frito Lays truck ruined the pic! lol

See what I mean...

First stop at Stunt Road

Close-up of the Devins 'interior'

I hit 103k which means I'm only at 3k miles since I bought it. That needs to improve in '24

Eventually broke off with a good friend from Orange County who made the trek because he had been itching to drive in Malibu. FYI That Z3 has a funny story behind how he ended up with it... story for another day

On the way back down, it was so beautiful we had to stop and take a pic. Love my backyard!

Normally I dont take pictures of myself, but my buddy asked and Im glad I said yes. Great pic IMO

I'll be in LA first few days of February! Would be fun to meet up and go for a drive. Still figuring out my car situation but flying in Feb 1st. I've done many of those canyons around Malibu on my bike. Lot's of mouth breathing but fun

@plpete84 Definitely hit me up when you fly in. I'm not far from LAX actually, maybe I can be your Uber and grab you from the airport if you're solo LMAO

@Junkrat I miss the blue accents also, but it screamed a little too much "LOOK AT ME I DRIVE A PORSCHE" ... and certain elements weren't done to a high quality. Plus theres a whole thing about making the car 'mine' ... theres still some changes coming and I hope you hang around for it!

Gotcha. Yeah, makes sense. Love making a car my own too with slight OEM+ changes. It definitely did stand out, but I found it eye catching in a good way, and I'm not a decal guy either. It still looks reallllly good tho, and gosh I love that ducktail!
