My M5 next to the GT3 in the Porsche/BMW corral. Don't remember the year.

It feels like a different place on a track day VS the big events.

Im excited to get back out there, but not sure when it will be. I have to get at least 1 more track day and 1 more Autocross before the end of the year. Wifey is pregnant with #2 so next year(s) will likely be very limited.

Still have some changes I want to do ASAP

Took Friday off because it was my birthday and went up to Good Vibes again. The full route up from Angeles Crest highway was open again and its shocking how much faster it is when you dont have to go around the mountain...

I was in no rush to get home, so took more pics this time.

These were my favorites:
Some clean aircooleds...

And now... name that VW!? (I know, but do you?!)

Lambo Murci, gated. Yes

Ferrari 355, modded

In car related news, I FINALLY picked up my GT3 coilovers from Glen Yee Motorsports / GYM. He included a little notebook about what shock tuning is and what a shock dyno means, followed by the shock dyno. He said I was going to really like these, especially compared with the Godspeed Coilovers..

Cant wait to get these on!... sadly because I got scammed it will take longer since I dont have top mounts. I think I know where I will get them from, but it wont be as soon as I want

I went with Tarett but Elephant Racing makes good ones too. The factory GT3 units are just as expensive.

I like the Tarrett. They are basically a GT3 clone. Should've bought one in the Classifieds when I saw it, but the shop pulled a bait and switch on me. Said they would help me with it, but then charged me the full $1000+ retail for the mounts. Once I declined the Tarretts were gone and I saw some 997 GT3 ones, which is where the scam came in.

MARK YOUR ADS SOLD PEOPLE!...

Anyways, made this little video about the Laguna Seca experience too

Pulled the bumper last night to clean out the radiator ducts

Not so many leaves, but lots of butterflies and a few cigarette butts lol

also snapped a pic of the brake ducts. I bought these a long time ago. Need to cross reference the part number to see exactly what they came off of..

It was also nice to see a small skid plate under the front bumper, as well as the CSF center radiator.

Were you asking around in another thread about what else to do while the bumper is off?

Regardless, if your bumper is still off and you haven’t done it yet, then I recommend you relocate your frunk’s emergency release cable to the tow eyelet opening on your bumper. This saved me a lot of aggravation yesterday, and I’m glad I did it a few months ago when I removed the bumper.

I was the one asking about it...

Mines a 4/98 build so I didnt even see an emergency cable, maybe because mine is a pull cable anyways... its not electronic. Not sure.
