The 03 With Bose+most is also a snowflake from what I can tell. It looks like they used the Cayan head unit which is different in some way?
The compatibility lists so far all seem to leave the 03 out. Even a lot of the Most adapters I can find in the market stop at 02 in their lists..
Anybody happy with a PCCM upgrade in a 03 Cab with Bose?

Cheers

I recently installed the PCCM+ in my 2004 Turbo Cab. Newer unit so no time issues and no odometer issues.
The issue I'm having is that every time I start the car, the last input I used (either Micro SD or Tuner) blasts on and scares the crap out of me.
and I can't seem to find a way to shut the music off and have waze give me spoken directions via Android auto.

Anyone know how to handle this? I read the manual to no avail and I'm hoping it's something easy I missed.

Can you post a screenshot of your s/w version numbers? I also got a "new" (packaging was dated 2022) unit recently, but it had the same software version as my old unit from 2 years earlier.

How do you turn off the tuner and be able to use waze with alerts?

Only way I know of is to start playing music on my phone via CarPlay, then quickly pause it.

Anyone with a MOST car that has the low level static from the speakers in the dash and the rear when the PCCM + unit is switched on? The signal is not volume dependent and is not amplified. All the cars that have this distortion seem to be non-MOST cars.

My setup is PCCM+ in 987.1 (2005) with ASK amplifier. I have the white noise on mute, alternator breakthrough & digital interference. Volume was way too sensitive. I believe this is a problem with analogue amplifier config where head unit is amplifying (I suspect pre-out with MOST doesn’t exhibit same problem). Dealer suggested a temporary fix using the custom equaliser setting with all ranges set to min. This partly solves the volume sensitivity, doesn’t do anything for the white noise.

Sounds just like my problem, see post #47 by jhomer for the fix. You need an adapter cable. Strangely no dealers seem to know about this even though it’s a Porsche part.

Yes, I know about the Porsche Wiring Harness, it was developed for the 986 with external amplifier. I wonder if it is the solution for the ASK amplifier, as some speakers are driven direct from head unit in this configuration. Porsche dealer has raised a problem report with this suggestion. I am waiting to hear response.

Regarding your mute white noise issue, any fix? I have a 987.1 with ASK amplifier and recent fit of PCCM + by Porsche dealer. Two months since and no fix forthcoming. It seems to be a problem with the design of the PCCM+ head unit, and from what I’ve read on forums it has been there since the PCCM+ was introduced.

I have the white noise problem with a PCCM+ on my 996 GT3 (no MOST, no external amplifier). I bought the cable jhomer referrenced and it didn’t solve the problem for me. I’m happy to sell it someone if they want to see if it fixes their problem with a non-MOST external amplifier. PM me.
