Worked
It’s a great mount! - Thx Yaz 👍🏽.

Does anyone know of an iPhone mount (preferably that fits the hazard mount) that holds the cable at the bottom and allows you to slide the phone in? That way you can keep the cable in one place and you're not always handling it.
I've had issues with CarPlay starting to fail after a cable gets ~6 months old. Since I have CarPlay I stick the phone in the cubby but that's not a great solution either. I'm thinking of putting in a mount.

I use a Tachform spring loaded billet aluminum clamp holder for my iPhone in mine. 1” ball mount. Got it on amazon I think. 90 degree cable is just long enough

Better MagSafe Mount
I originally wanted to go with a Peak design case but they don't support any standard ball mounts, so before trying quadlock I ordered 3 different Magsafe options from Amazon: Carmount x1... cool but Magnet was very weak, the well known ESR Mount 15w version (there were two older versions as well), and a Lisen Mount. --
The Lisen magnet is stronger than the ESR, the footprint is smaller, and for $30 it comes with cigarette charger and USB-C cable. It's slightly adjustable as you can see I turned it so the cable follows the contour of dash. I'll probably run the cable thru the dash but I'm currently debating adding either the Classic Radio or the Rennkitt bluetooth adapter. Big thanks again to Yaz996 for developing this for all of us and also quickly answering some questions from me via email.

I highly recommend the MR12VOLT . Easy install and works perfectly with the oem stereo. Bluetooth for my phone AND I plug a USB stick into it and the stereo sees the music as CDs!! Just pick which CD to play and it plays it off the USB! I l;ike having my phone up high like this for Maps I do not have to look down at the OEM screen or aftermarket screen for MAPS!

Mr12Volt
I too did the Rennclassic phone mount, ran a cable through the mount and dash to my Mr12Volt to power the phone, and used Rennclassic’s power tap from the unused factory phone plug to power Mr12Volt. Microphone on top of steering column. Works flawlessly. All of my music loads from voice command or the screen. Factory stereo mirrors the name of track. No cuts to factory stuff, all can be returned to original. So much cheaper than a PCCM upgrade, with all the tech I need (the phone calls are even decent).

Just got my order in and it’s on its way!
I ordered the phone wiring for switched 12v to hardwire the charger (among other things). Can anyone recommend something that allows you to go from bare wire 12v to USB-c to plug into the ESR charger?

Yeah I have plenty in stock of the aluminum Quadlock mounts (all with the cable cutout and black cerakote finish). Good timing too since I just dropped the price on the aluminum ones. Order can be placed thru the website.

The drop down list is a bit cumbersome at the moment. Need to get that fixed, and weed out the number of options. If you have any issues, fill out the "Contact Us" section on the home page, or PM me here.
Cheers!

WTB - 17mm with cutout for MagSafe charger
Hey @yaz996 do you know when you’ll have stock on the 17mm with cable cut out by chance?
Also noob question but for the USB fast charging module you’re selling the base 996 Carrera has the telephone cable to plug and play? (Where is this currently hiding in the dash?)

Telephone wiring connector came standard on all US 996 models. It was an option elsewhere in the world. The connector should be located in the lower center console forward of the shifter. To access it you'll need to pop out either the "bat wing" or carpeted side trim, and then fish around for the loose wire/connector. On my car, it was easiest to access from the passenger side.
Hope that helps, and let me know if you have any other questions.
