I have used the magsafe apple phone charger but my phone falls off with some light bumps! Went back to a grip mount! Anyone find the mag mounts that hold the phone SECURELY?

I did the same.
The roads I travel are not smooth enough for a magnetic mount.

I found the the actual Apple branded magsafe charger to be weakest of the magnetic chargers I tested. The ESR Halolock is what I'm using now. When I start driving the 996 again in a couple weeks (weather dependent), I'm going to test out Quadlock's line of magsafe products.

I'm testing out Peak Design, in case you're interested; their selling point is that although they are MagSafe compatible with a decent magnet and all that, if you really need the phone locked in they actually have a positive mechanical lock in their phone case. Very neat idea.

I'm familiar with them for their camera bags primarily, but did also look briefly into their phone products. Same story with Quadlock regarding the mechanical lock in addition to Magsafe.

Brilliant product you got here Yaz!

I will probably be buying a 17mm mount myself as soon as i sort some things out in the interior, but i have a question as it seems you are well versed in the center console wiring at this point:
Do you have a suggestion for hooking up a USB fast charge dongle for us guys with the in-car phone module connectors occupied? (Car currently features a period correct Nokia mobile phone )

@yaz996 Was just looking on your site and it doesn't seem like the regular 17mm without the charging cable hole is available. Is that coming back or no?

Is the Nokia actually functional? If not, I'd just leave that unplugged. If you're actually using it, the quick and dirty method would be a couple T-taps but I'm guessing you don't want to mar the wires. A splitter is on my list of things to do (and one other Rennlist member I believe), but haven't had much time to do anything lately.

I was planning on phasing out everything without the cable cutout. Versions with the cutout are far more popular, and its not visible once an accompanying mount is installed. I could add one without the cutout to the next batch if that's your preference though.

All good. I had the same though actually and just placed an order for the one with the cutout. Let me know if you can see it. Thanks again!

You would be correct about wanting to keep the harness intact A splitter would be mint in my case, do you know who that other member is?
Either way, would be very interested in a splitter type product if/when you get a chance to look into it! Cheers.

Default Extra 17mm Ball

I got the Quadlock version and the phone power cable. They are awesome!

When will extra 17mm inserts w/ cutout be back in stock? I am going a different direction and the 17mm insert will be perfect.
