Hi
I ordered one on 05/11 through the Porsche Dealer and as of yesterday they have no clue when it will be delivered.

I'm eager to know when these will be available in the U.S., so keep us posted!

Remember to review it! Tell us all features. I am also interested in what colour the buttons light up in.

Hi All,

Guess I spoke too soon. After driving to the dealer. Seems to be that only the PCCM (small unit) is being sold in the United States. The PCCM Plus is only being sold in Europe. At least that is what I'm being told by the dealer. I guess I will look into it further. So I am being given a refund.

Also the Map memory stick is $150.00, if anyone is curious.

If anyone has any heard anything else I'd love to find out what exactly is being sold in this country.

Both units are advertised as being available via dealers in Australia, though I don't think any have made it here yet.
There is apparently a bug you 'Murkins will love... in navigation, the display in the dash reads the units in miles but the displayed number is always kilometres. So if the display on the PCCM says left turn in 2.0 miles, the display in the dash will say 3.2 miles! Probably get fixed with an update before too long, or maybe that and a few other bugs are why they're delaying launch in the US?
I'd love one but $3kau is too much for me. I wouldn't mind doing the console delete anyhow, in which case I could just get a conti unit but I have MOST and Bose so it will snowball into replacing the whole stereo system which ironically would then probably cost about the same as a PCCM+.

Looks like FVD is selling the 2-DIN unit.

Has anyone put the EU version in a US 996? Wondering what makes it an EU version. Km instead of miles?

My local Porsche dealer is saying potentially late Summer for the US unit availability.

Has anyone heard any updates on availability of the single-DIN version in the US?

Edit: This isn't compatible with the 996, is it? https://www.getporscheparts.com/p-po...n-91164559100c

Eh, sorry, this page clearly states that 986/996 versions are being reviewed for US release at a later date: https://www.getporscheparts.com/c-po...management-547

We'll add the 986/996 version to this page on our site the moment if/when we get word it's released for US sale! We'll also post an announcement on this site in the vendor's section!

So looking at the back of this unit, it does not look like a back up camera can be added?

Look forward to read a full review of the new PCCM+ system. I am very keen to get one, it totally transforms the 996 interior. My only concern and question if i will be able to connect this unit to my porsche cdc4 cd changer as well as the max card capacity it can handle. I have lots of music in my sd cards and 2 ipods but still have 500cds that for some stupid reason still like to use.... Connect via the aux???

Great Post but unfortunately I have the GT3 console delete so I am stuck with what I got.
