The car I wish I didn't get rid of was my first car, 01 Golf GTI. I loved that car and at the time I needed some suspension items taken care of, instead of fixing it I got an e46 m3 because I'm stupid. I'm still on the look out for a decent golf to have.
As for Hoovie I really enjoy his channel, he has a great personality. His is one of the few where I haven't gotten tired of the content like Samcrac, or Tavarish.

I've seen the dynograph for the R series. I can't disclose the specifics, but it's a lot more rear wheel HP than 375.
Lots of people don't know that a stock M96 engine in the 996 Carreras don't come close to 300 hp at the wheels. They're measured at the flywheel.

I don't know of many, if any, manufacturers quoting their HP figures at the wheels. It's always at the crank. Bigger number sales more - marketing.
To me at least, numbers start to matter less and less as long as I'm getting the driving experience I want.

He says he wants to do it "right" this time.
But sounds like he is sticking with the LS swap, which I disagree, it's not the "right" way to do it.
That would involve having someone who knows what they're doing rebuild a flat 6 for it.
But the person I would want to send it to knows better than to touch this nightmare!

I'm not a client or costumer of Flat 6 Innovations. Jake Raby and I have mutual trust in our working relationship and I intend to honor that. No lawyers... no written contract... Bizarre is normal here.
While everyone else is busy touting power figures and bragging, we kick all their asses and have been for 15 years. To date I have never divulged a single power graph in public, in any capacity. I never will.
I do show these in our webinars with potential purchasers, and I shared all of them this past Thursday in our most recent FSI Engine Sales Webinar. In these groups I am able to research who is in attendance, and do a good job of ensuring they aren't plants from the copycats.
Its simple, if we posted the graphs, the copycats would just go take the time to find a graph somewhere that makes more power, then they'd lie and say that their engine makes that power.... The whole time they don't even have a dyno, or know the formula for horsepower. Been there, done that.
Also, the R- Series doesn't only have 4.0, 4.3 and 4.4L variants (R40, R43& R44) but each of these has a sub designation based on the combination and how it is being employed. As an example @808Bill lives on an island, where he doesn't;t need an 8,000 RPM+ capable engine. Due to this I used my R40.20 combination, which will give him the power that he NEEDS. This means the power graphs are variable, and are only a "suggestion" in every capacity.
Buyers always know what they are going to get before they sign up, and pay the cover charge. They are the only ones that matter, and I have yet to disappoint~

I don't think there is a right or wrong way to build a car if you are using good parts and not putting something together that is dangerous in terms of driving. I am also willing to take a guess that an LS1 swapped 911 will bring or more views than a properly built 3.4. Let's also not forget where we are, for the most part, the ugly duckling of the 911 world. Where a whole swath of folks doesn't think anything after air cooled matters or our car are gross because of the looks.

It is however pretty standard fare in circles with more aftermarket support, and competition which frankly doesn't exist in the M96 world and while that's great for you, its too bad for the consumer. I'm not sure who you're so worried about... But with your following and your stated backlog, my opinion is you likely have very, very little to worry about and your customers, and prospective customers are loyal, I commend you for that.
It would be awesome, and I for one would love to see the graphs of the various iterations of engines you make and how you take into account the designed power band for a given application.
It's too bad for the community that participates in this forum that won't happen but you run your show how you want to and that's cool with me.
