That statement might not be accurate. Besides there is more to a well performing street engine that raw top end horsepower... I'm on Tex's side here.

My 996 is going to get a F6I stage II build, which will out perform a a stock, or moderately modified LS.
Also the AC, power steering, power brake, and gauges will work with the F6I build.
No cutting is necessary to fit the 4.0 from F6I.
If I do an LS swap in the vehicle I'm considering, it won't require a bunch of cutting either.
But that project is several years off for sure!
Something to keep me busy after I retire.
Just don't LS swap into a Mustang. That would be wrong!

Still not gonna watch but if there was an issue with their kit, for the cost if it, renagade should step up.
Their complaint was about the kit and lack of support. Should have watched it before chiming in.

HA!
Our mustang will stick with a Ford motor:

It has less than 35K miles on it.

Funny how a Mustang should only ever have a Ford motor, but I am fine with a Chevy motor in a Porsche ... shows where my allegiances lie.

Tht looks like a Windveil blue Pony Package S197. 2006, I'd say.

If I had a mustang, I’d put a 2J on E85 in it, drag rads and 1K HP with just a wee bit of spray.

I love the swap idea in a 996 as the replacement options blow. Subaru EJ or EZ36 would be my choice if I was going outside the Porsche world.

But for me, My swap would stay porsche and have an external oil sump.

I find most of Hoovies videos entertaining and am glad he got the car back.

Compared to a moderately modified ls2? sorry, but hell no. ls2 with a cam/springs will put down 450 wheel hp. with headwork, forget it.

Stage 2 raby 4.0 will make maybe 375whp.
I think a dry sump for the LS is $2500 maybe 3K, address a couple of other known issues which are comparatively peanuts compared to anything in the M96 490 or whatever modes of failure... I don’t think you can do a lot better pound for pound, dollar for dollar than the ridiculously well designed and supported LS.

Is there a chassis dyno graph of a FSI 4.0 around ?

I've never understood the hate for engine swaps. I could understand if it was some rare, low production car but it's a 996 911 and they made a lot of them. Plus his wasn't exactly a garage queen, to begin with.

Not everyone hate the idea. Now that they know why it blew up Thanks to The 305 Garage - the guy that bought Hoovies' 911 and was going to fix it.), I would like to see them come up with a solution and get it back on the track.

I wonder why The 305 Garage guy gave up on it?

I know but I feel like this has always been a thing but it's your car, do what you want with it. I enjoy watching Tavarish even more so with Jared because he drops a lot of knowledge on how different things work. Honestly, it's just cheap entertainment since cutting the cord, although Youtube has been brutal with the ads lately.

I agree. An ls motor will **** all over a m9x when it comes to tq and horsepower all over the curve.

And i was being generoua with the 375whp

Just didn't feel like dealing with it, my dad had died a month prior and I just wanted to move on.
The car I wish I didn't get rid of was my first car, 01 Golf GTI. I loved that car and at the time I needed some suspension items taken care of, instead of fixing it I got an e46 m3 because I'm stupid. I'm still on the look out for a decent golf to have.

As for Hoovie I really enjoy his channel, he has a great personality. His is one of the few where I haven't gotten tired of the content like Samcrac, or Tavarish.
