Yes, what Brad said. We just show up with a bunch of 996's to a track day and have a great time. Be warned that Brad and Aaron are pretty serious about this and are really fast drivers.
I am heading out to Lime Rock on April 25th with Track Night in America, weather permitting.

Thank you. I will try to swing by for the 996 event. That sounds pretty cool.

What is are the differences between 996.1 MT C2 vs C4 and eGas vs cable throttle? Seems like they should be minor.

If you run the UIDS and the UAOS with the track drain, what's the recommended capacity total? Just want to confirm

No difference between 996.1 C2 and C4.....All 996.1 are the same kit except the 99C2 w/cable TB ....it takes a different kit ..

Recommended oil fill for Track work
UIDS alone .......9.9qts w/filter ...Note:On any m96/7 engines
UIDS with UAOS Track Version ....10.9 qts w/filter
UIDS with UAOS Track Version and less than 80 LPM as measured by this technique https://rennlist.com/forums/996-foru...=Engine+health ....11.9 qts w/filter

Don't know if anyone caught the significance of being able to handle running 1 qt more oil over full using the UAOS Track version in Skips post on the UIDS.

AND, if you pass Skips blow by test, you may be able to run 2qts over full. That's significant.

From experience I can tell you that the OEM AOS cannot handle running full oil (9.9). Forget about 1 qt over full (10.9). The Porsche Motorsports AOS can handle running full oil (9.9), but it cannot handle running 1 qt over full (10.9).

So with an engine that passes Skips blow by test, you can run 11.9. Cool. Very cool. Nice work Skip.

Well, running 20% more oil and the thermal properties of that must be amazing. So much more volume to have to get hot when on the track would be a really good thing!

Yeah, the M96 likes lots of cool oil. Prevents alot of issues we don't want.

I have a UAOS with Track Duty Auto-Drain installed on my '01 Supercharged C2. The car runs perfectly, but when I drive it hard, it experiences excessive crankcase pressure, causing oil to leak from the oil fill cap/vent valve on the valve cover. Has anyone installed this oil separator/catch can on a supercharged car? If so, have you had the same experience? How can I fix it, or should I remove the UAOS?
