Not exactly, aluminum has advantages and disadvantages over thermo-plastic Carbon Fiber/Nylon. Advantage being more stable material, dissadvantage being heavier. The aesthetic properties of CNC machined Aluminum are a side-efect of the manufacturing process and are subject to tastes/opinions.

The cost of Anodizing is minimal to the cost of Aluminum CNC reductive manufacturing. And clear Anodizing is the same price as black Anodizing.

The additive manufacturing process takes 18hrs on a 10k machine, the reductive process can be done much faster, but is done on an 80k+ machine..

First Elite UAOS Accumulator assembled, sealed, test fitted, to make sure everything is as it should be. This one is un-anodized raw 6061 aluminum. These will be an upgrade option, and a direct retrofit for the Carbon Fiber/Nylon Accumulators, and also included as part of the "Elite Version UAOS kit'..

I like the new aluminum one's, but being in California and doing smog checks every other year, I am going to stay with the composite one looking like OEM fix.

500 miles on the UAOS and 5.5” perfection, middle-of-the-donut. So nice to not worry about another crap AOS to r/r.

Thanks for the report !! Glad your finding "piece of mind" that you will no longer have to replace the "AOS", and that the "watchdog Red Warning" is on duty for you, like for all important vehicle parameters, oil pressure, water temp, brake system, coolant level ect.. The more you drive, the more you will find even greater piece of mind !!

Thanks Os7213, the Black Anodized is my favorite also, still shows the beautiful machine marks while giving surface protection and being subtle.
