...watched it emerge from a trailer and welcomed it home. '03 Orient Red Targa with 36,500 miles. One owner through 2021 and 31,500 miles - I'm its third. My first 996, and first non air-cooled Porsche. Much to learn and excited as hell.

You 2 play nicely in there...

That's a Targa done right, IMO. Sporty elegance. I thought my 2003 Targa had a lot of options, but someone went to town on this one. Congrats!

Just swapped my winter wheel set for my summer set. I'll pull the hardtop off in a few days.

I really hate lug bolts.
Studs make it SO much easier to hang a wheel.

100%. Extended studs are usually the first modification I make to all my cars.

Oil change. This is the first time I drained the old oil without removing the skid plate. Big mistake!

And then did the clay bar treatment. Hopefully tomorrow morning's marine layer will last long enough for me to wax it.

Default Weekends are for Porsches

New radiators, reservoir, water pump and thermostat and coolant flush do help. My temp did not touch the 0 of 180 for the entire spirited drive with the local PCA from porsche Wilmington to the mad boar in Wallace yesterday. Then it burped again, coolant dropped just below the min line. Topped up when I got home. This was also the first drive with the new Conti DWS06. Sadly my plastidipped black wheels did not survive the install on the rears, even with touchless installer. So I'm back to silver for a while. Mines the meridian metallic in the foreground. I didn't plan it that way. It works tho. I was just ahead of the sweep, Mike, in the ruby red boxster. Today I washed the bugs off, checked the coolant again and the new tire pressure. Not too long ago I bought an oak&iron battery powered compressor and pressure gauge. No more plugging the old pump into the cigarette lighter. It's the little things. The gauge in the unit is very accurate, I've tested it against my Jaco elitepro. I got it on Kickstarter but there are several out there. Safe driving!

great job. Wow your blue car looks awesome. I’m actually bidding on same color turbo. I helped a friend test some auto blips and since he was doing the install, I was polishing cleaning the headlights on my turbo. We did this Friday, so I just spent yesterday with the family. If any of you guys want and auto blip let me know the owner is a good friend of mine, you track guys this auto blip thing is pretty cool , I think it’ll take time off your lap.

My friends insane 95 993.

He installed quick connects so we can test pretty fast in future ocasions

This thing is pretty cool.

I smoked a prime rib for my 55 birthday

I’m bidding on this beauty, willing to trade in my triple black one.

Installed aftermarket exhaust headers . I picked these up used and had them media blasted and coated with Cerakote inside and out . No clue what brand they are but fit good and look nice . I figure they will flow as well or better than stock .
