I have a slightly bent front plate along with a broken plastic bracket I keep under the seat so if I get stopped I can show the cop and explain that it just happened in a parking lot! Haven't had to do it yet but I'm prepared!

Unless you have the open holes in your bumper I would think the cop would not be buying your "it just happened in the parking lot Sir" excuse.

Well that is because YOU think the only way to mount a license plate is by drilling through the front bumper!

Yup, definitely other ways. Mine is mounted using the tow hook threads. I'd love to get rid of it, but I don't have the plug. I recently purchased one, but need to paint it. I have lived in several states, all of which required front plates, and driven through almost all of them, and my 996 is one of two cars that I have ever had a front plate on. Only once did I have an issue, and that was I got a parking ticket in Seattle and they also gave me a ticket for no front plate. I think they were just mad they had to walk around back for the plate number. I have found most cops don't care and I believe in most states it's a secondary offense, meaning they can't pull you over for just that.

I'm stuck here in Arizona for life because I can't stand to put front plates on my cars.

I got pulled over for going 85 in my Macan! I was respectful to the officer and I have veteran plates on my car. He told me he was only going to give me a ticket for the no front plate only. Got away clean but when I went to court to show the judge the bent plate and broken bracket. the only thing he offered me was no fine and just pay court costs. THEY were $100!! I could have come back and pleaded my case to the ADA but my time was worth more than that so I paid it...

Here in Illinois, we look at front plates as an aero extension for more downforce. Just a slight angle and you gain mega grip. 😅

Yeah, they just like to get their court costs!! I haven't gotten a ticket in years but when I did so long I showed up in court the ADA reduced it to parking on the side of the road and got their court costs! Last time I had a new ada that offered to reduce to 2 minor tickets. I knew she couldn't do that so I thought sure win. The judge looked at it and said the same thing but he wouldn't just drop it. Asked me if I would plead to one of them and give me a $20 fine. I said OK. Court cost and $10. Still worth it for no points!!

I went to the supermarket this morning, 4 minute ride, 4 New York plates. They are coming over here, bidding multiple offers on houses for cash. In my neighborhood houses price right don’t last a week, and itss as to he people from NY and California that are bidding against each other cash offers, $10-$15k over asking prices. Pretty soon NY, is going to loose two senators and 4 congressman, it already happened in California, better be careful the Texans will put them in their place. Don’t mess with Texas.

Jeez I wish it was like that here! Sounds actually reasonable lol.

I am trying to buy a house here in Arizona it's insane. We have lost half a dozen already.

Last week house went on the market for $785k. We bid $903k the same day it went on the market and waived appraisal. Less than 24 hours from when it was listed, it sold to someone else who beat our offer of $118,000 over asking price...

It's fking impossible.

i have bought 7 brand new houses in my life all over the states, where i get to spec what I want. This one I bought in 2000, 1/4 acre, 3500 square ft, huge kitchen, master is 22x15, 4 bedrooms, 3 baths, 15x15 office. Anyway the real estate agent was pissed, i
had an approval for a half a million dollar loan. I bought for $129,300. Today is worth
$325-350. I get people knocking in my front door giving me cash offers. Haha. Two new 16 seer acs, 4 year roof, 4 year old water heater, 2 new stainless steel refrigerators, new dishwasher . Two patios, one
is brick looks like a Mexican restaurant Paid for, I’m not selling crap. Now I’m sitting on the housing bubble to bust and I’m going to buy a foreclosure in a certain subdivision that we like.

Yeah the only upside to the crazy market is the $567k cash offer I got on the house I paid $245k for in 2015.

May be forced into keeping this one though.

If you think that’s bad, my business partner bought a building for our shop in a neighborhood that had an apartment above it in2015. I lived in it and told myself “the houses in the neighborhood are $35-50k…I’ll save up and buy cash in 2-3 years…what’s the highest they could get to in 2-3 years, 60k???”

As time went on and the neighborhood got nicer and nicer, business got established and better…I didn’t even think about real estate prices. Go to look at houses in 2017 and the house down the street that was $35k was $155k…for a 900sqft mill home. Fast forward to today, it just sold for $455k…for 900sqft. I literally got priced out of my own neighborhood that I helped gentrify…wtf.
