The Vesuvio/aero is a great combo. I see you’re near Cleveland, I’m about an hour south east of you! Great car, enjoy it! Looking forward to salt free roads so I can get mine out soon.
Haven't done much with my 996 since I got my Tesla Model S a few days ago. So far my fav features are:
1. Interior devoid of buttons and levers except for a few on steering yoke, even the door handles are gone.
2. Turn signals are smart. Before changing lanes you hit the turn signal and it keeps blinking until lane change is made, unless you changed into an exit only lane or turning lane, in that case it keeps blinking until turn is made. First I've had these, my last three cars were years 99, 2005, and 2009.
3. Sees red lights and stops on its own, freaky. Haven't activated full self-driving yet but we bought it, should really blow my mind.
I'm sure the 996 will get action again once the bloom is off the rose.
although my civic had smart turn signals, I think almost everything does these days.
Although the 3 is sportiest the Y is a better car structurally because they use giga casting front and rear, and battery compartment is structural. Also, heard they will be first with 4680 batteries if you can wait just a little.
Also, FYI prices went up today on 3 and Y 2k-4K more. Maybe waiting not so smart.

Would recommend! I ordered my model Y in the middle of January and it wasn't supposed to delivery until August until, voila!, it magically showed up last weekend (delivered to my driveway in my absence since I was up in the city). I did it, and got the FSD package too, because I want to be a part of the self-driving car world as it evolves and matures. It's crazy how the thing can navigate and change lanes. Acceleration is as good as the 996, but it's no 996. Between the Model Y, the 996 and the sprite, I've got a fun choice to make every day! See below for an action shot taken just now.

I had the same quandry because even 330mi range isn't far enough for what I really want. But then I reconciled it by committing to just pay the $$ buy an updated battery pack when they hopefully become available as a retrofit. So basically I'm paying more $$ but get to start having the fun sooner.

Reason: forgot to add a picture!

Gotta do my shifter it feels sloppy. Well after the snow over the weekend the warm weather has melted it all, pulled the Porsche out to put the front end back together from trying to hunt down the second mouse that had taken up residence in it. Figured out that there was a bag of bird feed in a cabinet right next to my car, a nice mouse-sized hole chewed into it. So they were getting food from there and sheltering in my car. I found evidence that Red Boi was still in there and cleaned it all up and decided to go for a drive since it's been a few weeks and figured since it was warming up he might have left. Get back from my drive and put the car in the garage and what do I see? Red Boi, dead in the driveway, I either ran him over on the way out or the way back in. RIP.
FedEx brought my Aerokit bumper that came from Rose Passion in France.

I was impressed that the bumper left France last Wednsday, made it across the ocean, cleared Customs and was in front of my house yesterday. They left a notice saying "Customer unavailable or business closed". No mention if they need a signature or are planning on another delivery attempt. It's frustrating because during two years of telecommuting from home, no one ever needed a signature. Now that starting this week, I'm back in the office, they want someone home.
So now it's at a "Local FedEx facility" and I have no idea which one or if they're going to attempt another delivery or if I'm supposed to go pick it up.

lol, I think this is the first time I had a FedEx delivery by tractor trailer. He must have had fun turning around on my cul de sac.
