Not a "What did you do?", but a "What are you about to do?". Thanks to @TexSquirrel , I've got a new Gurney flap for my '99 aerokit's spoiler.
The primer, paint and clearcoat arrived today, but now I'm having second thoughts about painting it. I've seen the GT3 models sometimes have the unpainted Gurney flap. What's the Rennlist take - paint, or no?
Headed to an event this weekend (Porsches in the Park in Portland, ME; fundraiser for the Dempsey Center, and Maine native Patrick Dempsey makes an appearance), and I don't think I'll take the time to do anything with it before then.
Since yours is silver black probably wouldn't look too bad and would add a little bit on contrast. I personally prefer it painted, however.

I prefer it black myself, but since you already have the primer and paint, I say go for it!
I had planned on keeping it black, then changed to the new GT3 RS wing.and no longer needed it.
My Taco is bubble wrapped and taking up space in my garage.
I'm going to store my Taco away in the attic next to my original C2 deck...or maybe sell it if I can't get it up the attic stairs.
We'll see what happens this weekend when I talk my son into helping me relocate it.
Ohlins R&T + Tarett end links are installed so it was time for an alignment. Car now drives fantastic and now it's time to play with the shiny dampening ***** and get the ride dialed in.

Yeah, I gave in and did some tests sprays, and then when I was satisfied with the color, hit the piece with a couple of coats of primer. I'll get to the color layers and clear coat later this week.
I'm thinking thin 3M automotive tape for installation. The technical bulletin from 1999 specifies a cement, and even has a part number, but I've called all the usual places and it's no longer available.
For the first time I decided to wash both cars at the same time. Just got finished spending $$$$ on both. 996 got 997 GT3 shifter, coil packs/plugs, new injectors, UAOS, new body trim and the 997 got new front rotors, pads and sensors.

I’m partial to the ducktail. I love mine, but for long *** trips I prefer the F150 super crew with the 36 gallon tank. Plus I can load all the beach gear in the bed, we’re fixing to go to Corpus Christi Texas for 5 days in the sand,!

I purchased some thin 3M tape from Amazon to install it.
I forgot all about it or I would have thrown it in the box.
I used to drive a 94 Suburban diesel 3/4 ton with a 42 gal tank. That was one of my favorites. Now I've downsized!!
since my truck has the 2.7 eco boost, when I fill it up sometimes it reads 800 miles to empty. No I don’t haul or tow anything. We just use it as the family car, suv with extra cargo space.
