New headers and a set of used Fabspeed Maxflo's going on. First side removed last night, other side removed tonight, new parts including new clamps, nuts, and header bolts are on the way. PB Blaster and a small torch resulted in zero broken bolts.

COTA on my list now to! That's only $80 a drive session!

COTA is only a 1 hour drive from my house.

Think you might show up at Harris Hill on 22 Sept?

Unfortunately no.
I have a prior commitment in the afternoon.
If I get the rest of my center radiator parts in time, I might be installing that early on the 22nd.
Since they're coming from NC, they might get a bit delayed due to the hurricane.

I've never read any data, what exactly does putting wheel spacers in do?

Aesthetics?
Handling?

mostly aesthetics in my case. My car is pretty low and that exstenuated the gap in wheel well. I will be putting on some 8.5"and 11" GT3 wheel when i have the $$$$.

Default Trip

Just returned from a 9 day "no plan" trip up north. We went a little over 3000 miles in our 2004 996 with 86k miles on the clock. The car ran fabulous with no hiccups at all. When we do our vacations we just jump in the car and go making left/right turn decisions as we go. We couldn't have had more fun. I do like Montana where they don't put ethanol in premium . Oh, and thanks V1...x5.
Our route.

Back in the garage with all the bugs gone.

Installed 160f Thermostat, now the gauge reads just across the 8 before it was between 8 and 0, so is a bit cooler. This is with AC on and in heavy traffic, 91f ambient temperature.

I drove to work and back. No drama. Car worked perfectly. Boring I know....but it is my DD, so work and errands no matter what. Life with a 911!
