Sanded/polished out some scratches on my stainless steel door sills. Played around a bit with the process and different grit sandpapers (dry and wet) and landed on this simple process. The trick is not to polish too finely since the sill has a brushed finish to begin with. It shouldn't look like a mirror after. The 400 grit seemed to be the best match for the original grain.
1) tape
2) 400 grit DRY sandpaper on scratched areas; sand in the direction of existing grain
3) spray water and wipe clean to check progress
4) bar cleaners friend over the whole sill using a scrotch brite scouring pad (again in direction of grain)
5) spray water and wipe clean to check result
6) repeat until satisfied
7) take a few passes with the 400 again across the whole sill to even out the brushed finished if needed (again in direction of grain)
8) admire work
Didn't get mine perfect, as I got tired, but overall happy with the results.

New shift **** (delrin ****, aluminum shaft) from Lukas at FunctionFirst:
I'm a big fan of all of his products that I've tried.
I've wanted one of his shift ***** for a while now, but already had a nice aluminum Rennline ****. I finally decided to make the move.
They're on sale now, too, which I only found out after ordering. Bonus!

Pulled the gauge pod, the female receptacle for the hazards was in upside down. I pulled it out and tested and the hazards worked, put dash back together and turn signals worked. Horn still does not but that's easy to sort out. I'm amazed how interconnected the electrical is and the weird symptoms for simple problems.

I hate that switch, one my 3rd, Can't ever seem to get it out w/o breaking it. The Tabs never seem to release.
Interconnected, Oh yeah, ask people who have ABS/PSM light come on and it gets solved by replacing Brake light switch.

New steering wheel! Really nice LOVE the feel. Carbon and thickened where you want it. Flat on the bottom I was going to get a black airbag but I think I like the contraSt!
Bought from a fellow Rennlister. Awesome dealing with and real fast shipper! Thanks, SOLOW!
