Complete color change requires total disassembly of the car, which they surely didn't do. But if they did, I wouldn't want a car that a body shop stripped down to the shell and put back together. Most of those guys are monkeys. Wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot pole.
And if it wasn't stripped, it's really just an exterior color change. The engine bay, trunk, etc, are the original color.
Either way, this car sounds like a nightmare. Only buy it at a very steep discount.

That's more than I paid for my turbo a couple weeks ago and my turbo was a perfect 38k mile copy as well but in Red. I hope he gets it, but my bet is $120k max.

Dealer said it sold for ask on ebay. Doubt it but as we always say. A sucker is born every day.

I wouldn’t necessarily say a “sucker” purchased this car (if he/she truly paid the asking price). This is an exceptional example and very rare color combination. I have a very rare color for another brand/model and I’ll tell you a premium is added whenever this color shows up on the market. It was just a matter of someone wanting this very badly. It’s not likely something this will pop up anytime soon.

I guess if it was someone's dream car and color
combo that would be the case. Money is no object in that circumstance. All I know is I wouldn't pay $140k for a 993 4S. Would up to TT at that point. This said, knowing the dealer the car was probably $20-25K overpriced. Still doubtful that it sold for ask. The dealer would say that to upsell on the next example they get. Gotta give them that, they do get rare cars for the most part.

Three Wheelin'
Had a feeling it would be gone in no time. Not a sucker purchase at all. Probably going to a collectors collection and being parked next to their 993 Turbo S and RS. This is if Rudy didn't buy it.

Based upon what I know, it would not surprise me that it sold for ask or ~$135k. He just listed it so no reason to sell for less. For anyone with truly silly money, it wasn't a big deal. So it was $15k- $20k more than any of us would pay. And I don't buy $11,000 suits at Bergdorf Goodman's....but somebody does.
