Not sure I should be posting this because

a) It is a Canadian car and this thread says "Great American 993s for sale"
b) The seller might actually be a Rennlister?

But here goes. I believe it is a newish listing only a few days old (I did not see this car listed last week) and I am interested in it, not because I want to buy it. No I am interested in it because it is very similar to my 1997 993 C2 which I too might be putting up for sale in the not too distant future. Anyway it is a 1996 Porsche 993 C2, with 118000 kms (which translates to a little over 73000 miles). It is hard to tell from the pictures, but the exterior looks to be in good shape. The interior also looks to be in good shape, but it looks like it has the 996 steering wheel and the seats are also different from mine, they look like 996 seats as well? I don't know. My 1997 993 definitely has the 993 steering wheel with 993 leather seats.

Anyway the seller is asking $76000 CDN which translates to about $57500 USD.

http://wwwa.autotrader.ca/a/porsche/911/st.%20albert/alberta/19_10245658_/?showcpo=ShowCpo&ncse=no&orup=28_15_42&pc=T3A%204C7&sprx=-2

I'll be curious to see how much it sells for. My car has pros and cons over this car and my initial asking price was going to be lower after all the maintenance and detailing on my car is complete. But if I can resolve a few of my cons and this car sells for something close to the asking price. Perhaps I could ask a little more as well. Or perhaps I would be smart to stick to my original asking price. Oh and before the "graph shows up showing prices", yes based on the mileage of my car, similar cars have been selling recently for about $52000 USD which makes me think this car might be priced a little high.

Buying a car that quickly is only opening yourself up to a money pit. So maybe if you missed it, consider it yourself lucky.
For what I plan to do with it, it's exactly what I was looking for. I'm flying out tomorrow morning and driving it 10 hours back home to Northern California.

And if it breaks down on the way back, I'll end up missing my flight to Road America the following afternoon.... but I have faith in zee Germans.

$90,300 with fee. Lower than I would expect but not by much. To me the car wasn't a super clean example of a car with that mileage so maybe discounted a bit by bidders.

A bit of a surprise. Especially since last week's 73 k-mile C2S (with accident and repaint) went for $83 with commission. Lightly optioned, too. This one, with half the miles should have been much more. One difference may have been the degree of seller support. On this one the seller made only 5 posts, and wasn't available to support a PPI. The seller on the 2S made over 20 posts and paid for and posted the results of a PPI. When you're laying out this kind of money long distance, support and transparency make all the difference. A great example of this is the 50k-mile 2S that sold back in Feb on BaT for $117K where there was great support not only from the seller but from the 2 PREVIOUS OWNERS.

I don't know if his car has been talked about yet, but I just saw it on Craigslist. The price is right, but I would assume it might have a story or two.
