Good way of looking at it!....I'd consider doing the same some day except I don't have the original seats.
BTW - does he make the hardbacks out of rebuilt/reconditioned seats or do you have an option of sending yours to him to have rebuilt?

I don't think he rebuilds yours but I could be wrong.

Nice, I am sure they will turn out nice. The thread on his seats had gone a bit cold so wasn't sure if ppl are still using his services, I recall recently there was an owner being vocal he didn't have a stellar experience (contrary to majority of cases prior).

I too am debating which way to go, I have the classic gray draped/supple leather so the buckets would look out of place relative to the backs. Valdear admitted he had not done draped leather on buckets (as it was never offered from the factory) but would be willing to try. Just haven't been brave enough to be the first guinea pig...

96 C2 w/130k miles $62993. I believe this was Opo's car at one point. It looks Rudyfied!
This car was listed on craigslist at 65-70k for a long while before showing up at that dealer. It has been sitting since 2016 at least.

Here are the latest charts for C2S/C4S and C2/C4. In the second chart, all are C2's except the very first which is a C4.
I'll post periodically when new data points are added. I'm starting CAB and Tip charts, but so far not enough data points to be meaningful.

I can see it now, 40 years in the future everyone's going to be referring to Jay777's valuation guides for everything Porsche and Hagerty's will have gone out of business. :-)

Yes, this one and a number of others are "pending" and won't get added to the database until sale price is confirmed by buyer or seller. I thank the many RL'ers and others who have already responded in private communications to support this effort and look forward to others doing so.

BTW, the three low data points on the C2/C4 chart are real showing that good deals can be had.

I technically bought this car for $39000 but the dealer decided to sell it to someone else while I was making travel arrangements despite holding my deposit on the car. I'm not sure if the person who bought will post here.

Thanks. Reasonable price for a tip. What was the dealer asking for it?
